Went in on the weekend and I love the shop lots of choice it was hard to make final decisions. Maria was approachable, knowledgeable and really patient with my selections! I ended up with a number of materials and panels for Xmas stockings. I will definitely be heading back as soon as I have completed my current projects. Great addition to Lordship Lane.
Its a lovely shop, and Maria and her son are very helpful. I went in to say Hi and have a look round, and I know I will be back on the bag making course. Materials are lovely and she has everything you need to make dresses, quilts, cushions etc. lovely Jubbly welcome to Lordship Lane Maria ;)))))

Good memory, yes that was my mother that you saw, both her and my late father run one of the first restaurants that opened along Lordship Lane back in the early sixties called the Savarin. Some people may remember when my mother run the children's nursery/puahchair shop before she leased it out to the Deli. I'm happy that we are back running a new business in our old shop. The reception we've received from the Dulwich residents has been very warm, welcoming and positive,.....it good to be back!

    • On your last point jazzer, no. I've been reading around the various aspects of them today.  The majority of them appear to be not much more than whey obtained from milk. That makes them about 75-80% protein. Have  a look at the H&B products.  They list all constituents. On the 18+ issue, OP, I suspect that what you noticed was probably at most a recommendation that they not be used by under-18s.  Even then, I only came across it on one website, by chance, when seeking for evidence of prohibitions:  https://ultimatesupsg.com/blogs/nutrition/whey-protein-should-individuals-under-the-age-of-18-take-whey-protein-to-build-muscle.
    • Simple question, why is a 16 year old taking protein powders? If they want to build up muscle, try using weights in the gym, doing it naturally.  Presumably  these powers are not natural products and more likely to be synthetic materials?
    • tbh not impressed. I review restaurants and decided to give them benefit of the doubt that it was an off day and didn't write it up. There's a new restaurant by the Plough which I think is Turkish (where the strange French restaurant was many years ago). Planning to try that soon, if anyone has been let me know what you think./
