I would never go to a major event in London after getting caught up in the fireworks crowd one New Year by accident coming back from Camden. It is horrendous trying to escape- we were shunted about 2 miles in a circle to a station, not allowed to cut down backroads- it was the most horrible experience.....we tried to go back into Waterloo station to get a tube to the Elephant and weren't allowed to ...it was like a wartime evacuation- no thanks
