OK, he bought them, but they weren't successful. He could have picked up Owen when he came back from Real. He could have tried for Bent this summer - Andy Johnson? Don't get me wrong - I worship Wenger, but there is just that tiny little piece of the footballing jigsaw that he seems to overlook, a sniffer to thunk the ball it the net.

By the way, did anyone watch the Liverpool match (Anna)?

I couldn't believe it earlier when I got home from Reading and read that Carragher ended up with a collapsed lung, and Hypia a broken nose!!! Bloody Roy Keane, he's always been a thugish twat, and now it seems his team are playing like he did!

Hi Keef - yep saw the game. Hypia's broken nose didn't look pleasant, lots of claret. Can't remember what happened to Carra', think it was a knee in the ribs. At first it looked like he wasn't going to come off - can't believe he stayed on as long as he did.

Not wanting to get complacent, but at least we go in tomorrow nights game with an away goal and being at home to Derby on Saturday should mean we won't miss Carra and Stevie too much. I hope I've not jinxxed us now.... Mind you, no locals boys playing is not so good!

Assume you'll be watching the game tomorrow? Was supposed to go, but could only get one ticket and didn't fancy driving home on my own.

Quite glad I've got Voronin in my FFL team >:D<

Indeed we were. But how often does a visiting side get a penalty at Old Trafford? About once in a blue moon I should think. Anyway, I thought we were by far the better side and at least deserved to get a point out of the game. Cracking goal by Nani though.

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
