>>Everyone predicted the Derby thrashing but only Sean, Me and Mockney got one perfect score each<<

Yes well done (he said through gritted teeth). In "another place" Villa were my favourites to break into the "Top 4" this season so, although obviously a Nation Rejoices at today's Villa Park result, I feel exceptionally smug.....

I think England should progress tonight and have tipped them to win 2-1 but the other game that really intrigues me is the France v Scotland game and although I've tipped the French to win 2-1 I have just got a sneaking suspicion that they are a little bit past it, although they've been written off before during the last World Cup they still managed to get through to the final, albeit losing to Italy. Anyway, I'd really like Scotland to win tonight and also think that the Republic could cause a bit of shock against the Czech Republic, although obviously it will be very tough for them. Best of luck to all the British teams tonight.

Errrm, well it's quite easy if you put a business case forward to take clients ;-) and then you don't even have to pay. The only down side is that I have to be on my best behaviour!

From what I can gather, there are still tickets available up in the Gods though...

I couldn't agree more with the allocation of corporate seats (trust me, Liverpool's allocation for the CL final was terrible and mainly due to the corporate bodies involved). It's disgusting when real fans can't get to a game. In my job I get offered the opportunity to attend many sporting events, but I only accept the offers when I support the team or have a genuine interest.

Unfortunately, many of the Prawn sandwich types only go so they can say that they have been.

hear hear Jah, t*sser; few things more odious than following a team due to success. Where are all those Newcastle shirts now huh?

Luckily not something I can be accused of!!

Yes anna. Liverpool v west ham I couldn't get a ticket even as a club member as we were allocated 24,000 tickets.

1/3 of tickets went to prawns. Not only not real fans, but not even human tsk.

    • When I had a property with a basement there would often be a pool of water in the centre. I was told it was related to the fluctuating height of the water table in the area (se22) and would not become a problem and the only way to get rid of it would be to get the whole place completely tanked.
    • We've got a Victorian coal hole cellar with a mud floor and after a couple of severe water leaks, I've taken more of an interest in the state of the dampness.  I've been running a dehumidifier for the past couple of weeks following a small water pipe leak and whilst most of the floor is now bone dry, there are damp patches along most of the wall adjoining the next house, a large damp patch in the middle of the floor that will not dry even with the dehumidifier right next to it and a patch of wet mud in a small hollow in the middle of the cellar.  An expert that lent us industrial drying equipment following a flood from a burst mains pipe said there will always be damp, but I'm a bit concerned in case there is a fundamental problem - any ideas from anyone with similar?
