To be honest I really can't understand the "angry" tag re the Liverpool game yesterday. I was simply stating an honest opinion, which I stand by, That on yersterdays performance they have as much chance of winning the title as I have of becoming pope. I am at a bit of loss to understand how that can be deemed to be angry in tone. If I'd been effing and blinding, then fair play, but I don't understand the reaction quite honestly. Maybe it's just me.

Fair enough atila, i don't think your liverpool post was angry at all fwiw; perhaps angry far too strong a term.

And frankly I agree with you about their chances of winning the league. If a team is dependent on one striker being fit for their title chance, then chances are it ain't going to happen.

I predicted man u at the beginnning of the season and I stand by it. What an idiot ferguson though, now there IS an angry man ;-)

Nah, don't look at him as a proper gooner, he's too nice ;-)

Atila, it was more the dismissal of Caragher that got me, but like I say, I was having a bad morning (not hungover though Mockers, I was feeling very very wrong yesterday, so stayed in feeling sorry for myself all day), so guess I over reacted.

Oh and Anna, I share your pain with regards Man U. I have hated them for years, and the likes of Giggs and Scholes have been way up there on my hated people list. However, now nostaligia is getting the better of me, and I can't help wanting them to do it one last time and show these younguns how it's done. I will never feel that way towards Neville though the rat faced freak!!! And I can't stand Rooney, Ferdinand or Ronaldo! I am a Hargreaves fan though, and was gutted when he signed for them!

Fergusmoan as he is affectionately known to us gooners is a funny guy, don't you think. Well he makes me smile!!

Stop the press......................Visiting manager abused by home fans...................Disgarceful, call out the riot squad and gas the bastards. That'll teach 'em to give fergusmoan more respect.

Strangely, his number two was very complimenatry about us, our staduim, our style of football, etc. Clearly Fergusmoan is going the way of dear old Bobby Robson, and is losing his marbles. Time to ship him off to the nursing home

Moaner or not. I think Sir Alex Ferguson deserves some respect here. His record speaks for itself. He'll go down in history as one of the greatest managers of all time. No one and I repeat no one even comes close to repeating what he has achieved at first Aberdeen and then at Manchester Utd. As a manager I don't think his record of 29 major trophies will ever be beaten.
Jah, please don't refer to him as Sir, it's most disconcerting, just call him Ferguson, that's more than sufficient. After all, someone that calls the ref an effing cheat and is caught on camera doing so, hardly deserves to be a Knight of the Realm. ;-)

That was surreal. Did you see graham poll on MOTD2 last night? It was quite interesting getting the ref's point of view every now and then. Even he had no idea why the fourth official was doing that; I bet AF had had a word in his ear.

Also interesting his take on the 2 penalty shouts in the WH Bolton game. I thought the first one was iffy but giveable, and the second one a cert, but because he hadn't given the first and it was Lee Bowyer we didn't get it.

Poll thought both decisions were spot on and on reflection I think he's right.

I've been subscribing to Sentanta for two months and saw the Sunderland game, and am looking forward to the Reading game. For ?9.99 I've seen the Calzaghe fight and a couple of decent games, so it's not all bad. Certainly better vlaue than the overpriced Sky packages.

Yeah I'm thinking of subscribing too, as want to cut down on week night visits to the pub for health and wallet reasons.

Last night's game did look bad, but the goal was well taken, I'll give them that.

Nervous about Liverpool tonight, we HAVE to win to stand any chance, and so far we've looked sh!t in europe, which is odd, as europe is where Rafa has been at his best since arriving :-S

Glad you are Ladygooner...

I'm not negative, but I get nervous in situations like this... We should be fine if the players are up for it. That's been a problem in a couple of recent games, they don't sem to have been really up for it (except the game against Arsenal, which is all very well, but you need to try and win the "easy" games too!).

Well that was great, but has actually left me a little frustrated. If a team can produce performances like that, they need to be consistent. Okay so we weren't playing an Arsenal or Man U, but if we played like that consistently, we'd be up there with them! Anyway, great result, and should give them a boost.

    • What was he doing on the stage at Glastonbury? Or on the stage at the other concert in Finsbury Park? Grinning like a Cheshire cat whilst pissed and stoned 20 somethings on the promise of free internet sung-- Oh Jeremy Corbyn---  What were his policies for Northern mining towns with no jobs or infrastructure? Free Internet and university places for youngsters. What were his other manifesto pledges? Why all the ambiguity over Brexit?  I didn't like Thatcher, Blair or May or Tony but I respected them as politicians because they stood by what they believed in. I respect all politicians across the board that stick to their principles. Corbyn didn't and its why he got  annihilated at the polls. A socialist, anti imperialist and anti capitalist that said he voted for an imperialist and pro capitalist cabal. He refused to say how he'd vote over and over again until the last knockings. He did so to appease the Islington elite and middle class students he was courting. The same people that were screaming that Brexit was racist. At the same time the EU were holding black and Asian immigrants in refugee camps overseas but not a word on that! Corbyn created and courted a student union protest movement that screamed at and shouted down anyone not on the left . They claimed Starmer and the centre right of labour were tories. He didn't get elected  because he, his movement and policies were unelectable, twice. He turned out not to have the convictions of his politics and died on his own sword.    Reform won't win an election. All the idiots that voted for them to keep out Labour actually enabled Labour. They'll be back voting tory next time.    Farage wouldn't be able to make his millions if he was in power. He's a very devious shyster but I very much doubt he'd actually want the responsibility that governance requires.
    • The purge of hard left members that were part of Corbyn's, Mcdonnel's and Lansmans momentum that purged the party of right wing and centrist members. That's politics. It's what Blair did to win, its what Starmer had to do to win. This country doesn't vote in extreme left or right governments. That's partly why Corbyn lost  We're pretty much a centrist bunch.  It doesn't make it false either. It's an opinion based on the voting patterns, demography and statistics. Can you explain then why former mining constituencies that despise the tories voted for them or abstained rather than vote for Corbyns Labour?  What is the truth then? But he never got elected!!! Why? He should have been binned off there and then. Why he was allowed to hang about is an outrage. I hold him party responsible for the shit show that we've had to endure since.
