And. on the subject of televised games, the game to watch tomorrow on Sky is of course Sheffield United v Crystal Palace (now managed by N. Warnock Esq and undefeated in 10 games...). As tomorrow is also my birthday I hope United for once get their act together properly and give Colin a nasty "welcome back!". Shame James Beattie is out for 4-6 weeks but at least Rob Hulse appears to be match-fit again.

Last year the Lads have me a delightful birthday present (admittedly on the day following) when they deservedly beat Arsenal 1-0 - unfortunately the season went somewhat downhill after that....:))

"And the mother was breast feeding the baby in full view of the whole bar. Now, I,m not a prude and I understand it may be totally natural, but so is urinating and crapping, and you don't see people doing that in full view of punters drinking in a boozer"

Have you ever eaten in a pub? personally I can't stand seeing people eating in pubs whilst i'm drinking I know it's natural burt so is crapping and pissing etc etc etc

Happy Birthday Simon M. Hope your blades are sharp-shooting today. At least you have our lot down for a draw at Everton. I fear the worst and would be happy to take 1-1. BUT my prediction has to be outrageously hopeful! It is Christmas after all.

Oh and Blades 2 - 0 Palace

A little too optimistic there LG, we won't do them 3 times in a row!!

Happy Bithday Simon, best of luck.

I for one will be at the biggest game of the day, Dulwich Hamlets vs Cray Wanderers promotion spot clash!!

Lets see if we can make it 6 league wins in a row.

Forgive me, but there is huge gulf between pissing, crapping and eating (mind you the way some people eat in public I sometimes wonder). From the tone of your post, I take it you have no problem with breast feeding in public. Well that's ok, but I do. Pubs have never ever been places where kids under drinking age have been taken in my expereince. I've no idea where the daft idea of a" traditional family" pub comes from. This is a poncey modern concept. Pubs are places for adults to have a drink and get away from kids ( I have two, and never took them into pubs, when they are old enough they can go and discover the delights of the pub if they want to).

Ahem! It looks like I wasn't too optimistic! How did the Hamlets do? Come on Arsenal!

Well listening to the commentators at half time we were dead and buried then two superb goals by Eduardo. Then Bendtner got sent off and Adebayor came on - Everton gave away the third goal so easily. 4th by Rosicky after sending off of Arteta. It was entertaining to say the least!

    • Big recommendation for Stephen Viccary who has created a magnificent bathroom for us. Quality of work is absolutely top notch. We couldn't be happier - see pics.  Stephen is considerate and tidy meaning working from home during the work was fine (some noise - obviously, it is a demo and installation after all. He does not work on multiple jobs, does a full days work and does ALL the work himself - Tiling, plumbing, lighting (including lighting on a motion sensor under the vanity and in the shower niche - for night time visits 😉), he even changed the door architraves, sorted the badly cracked ceiling and did all the paint work. A full end to end service. Stephen's number - 07941 266 145
    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
    • Having a BBQ (fingers crossed) in 2 weeks and need a small BBQ for veggie bits and any spare benches or garden tables and chairs to borrow to add to mine. Any going? Thanks in advance...
    • Oh dear, hope you are OK, I've had it three times and it was worse each time, but not a patch on many of those who got it before they vac' role out. Not commenting on the discussion as I got confused many days ago beyond the reminder that Corbyn would not compromise and the harm that could lead to him, the party and regards Brexit pre and post referendum the country.  Starmer goes too far the other way at times.
