Washing machine advice

Heylo,

Today my washing machine decided to stop draining water, I've cleaned the drain pump and removed a load of hair clips. I then ran a 2nd wash and it refused to drain.

Any other ideas?

It's 8 years old. Repair or replace?

I had this prob.

I disconnected the pipe (after draining) and found a one pence piece stuck at the end.

I was badly let down by Cliff recently.

Call Alex instead: 020 8692 7959. He made good on the foul up by Cliff and didn't charge me until I had fully tested the repair. He worked hard and for a long period of time and came out twice. Very, very helpful.

I've already called Cliff, he is coming this evening.

I'd add a recommendation for Cliff: on time, honest, identified the problem, reasonable charge. Wouldn't hesitate to call again.

I second the reccomendation for Alex, did a great job on our dishwasher at such a cheap price. I had to give him a tenner more than he asked for, so I could sleep at night without feeling guilty

Update - Chris showed up 45 mins late on Monday (2 mins before I had to leave for work) and made a snappy diagnosis, but couldnt come back again until Wed (today). Called Alex 3 times on Tuesday (yesterday)and he never returned any of my calls, even though his voicemail message changed throughout the day. Called Chris again today and he reckons he'll be with me by 6pm this evening.

Hopefully Chris will sort it tonight as I need clean clothes!
