I find a lot of peoples faces quite ugly.... and personalities for that matter.

Most people are stuck with those faces and personalties for the rest of their lives... and they didnt even get to choose them.

I'd rather choose a tattoo I liked than be stuck with one of the above.

It's OK, it can look good. It depends on your style.

I mean, celtic swirls or japanese characters, on a scrawny Essex boy with his collar turned up - not good.

But if you're a punk, a breakdancer, or one of those "alternative burlesque" ladies... why not.

Isn?t there some z list celeb who has a Chinese character tattooed on her lower back and, unbeknownst to her at the time, when translated a certain way it means something about an army sticking certain things in a certain place?

I wouldn't be surprised Brendan. Probably something straight off a take-away menu. Never seen a tattoo that looks good on a woman (sorry Robyn88). On a woman I would put them on a par with, say, stretch marks. But on a man I agree they are totally hot. I know that is hypocritical at worst and perverse at best, but there we are.
