Car Seat - Group 1 advice wanted

Does anyone have any advice on Group 1 car seats? I know rear facing is recommend and we have the Britax Marathon but I wondered if anyone has tried BeSafe Izi Combi Isofix or has any other recommendations.

we have a maxicosi with familyfix base (which you can use on next size car seats til they are a few years old apparently), it's great and really easy to get in and out of the car - rear facing, goes in back of car at first til 6 months I think...

Hi, I went to the In Car Safety Centre in Milton Keyns to try the Izi Combi. I really liked the look of it and the isofix version is super secure in the car BUT it hardly reclined at all. The spec of the seat says it has five recline positions but it reality they are non existent and at it's most reclined it's hardly tipping back at all. I actually think a baby's head might loll forward when asleep. I didn't get it for this reason.

We're convinced rear facing is the way to go. Have a look at www.rearfacing.co.uk, and there was a thread on here a while ago which might be useful. There's a shop at Petts Wood (details at both of the above links) who give excellent advice and can help you find the most suitable seat for you.
