This morning whilst walking the dog we found a plate with a large animal heart(raw cow?), a bunch of roses and the remains of a candle and smoked cigars. As the Park office was closed we disposed of the heart in one of the rubbish bins. It looked very ritualistic but may not have had any sinister motives. Location: under the big London plane tree in the centre of the Rye. Dog owners/walkers please be aware.

"Purportedly", not "apparently"??? Was it ever confirmed if the cause was definitively something the dog ate, or where it might have been consumed?

Though I'd agree there are plenty of reasons not to let dogs eat random bits in the park! xx

Didn't she (in between?)  take over what  was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination?
