Bob Buzzard
I'm worried that my builder is surreptitiously trying to move into my house. He's been doing my new bathroom for 3-months now and its still not finished and he is still here late in the evening when I come back from work, and is here some weekends as well. And all his tools are in one of the spare rooms. What should I do? My wife doesn't seemed bothered and says I'm imagining it. Calsug
3 months to do a bathroom?!?Have you paid in advance? Would say it's time to look for a new builder - unless you've got a really large/complicated bathroom project it should really take 2-3 weeks max IF he is working on it full time Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/126622-has-my-builder-moved-in/#findComment-1057787 Share on other sites
Bob Buzzard
No I pay by the week - everything was stripped back bare, so I guess there's quite a lot to do. Calsug
So What exactly are you having done? We had our bathroom done a few months ago which was pretty much totally stripped out, new tiling on walls / floor, new sink, toilet etc... and it took just over 2 weeks excluding painting. Bob Buzzard
I'm going to tell him to finish this week as there is only a bit of tiling left to do. I was worried as I'd seem a roll up mattress and sleeping bag next to his tools and he's always here late at night and early in the morning, but I never hear him leave, and my wife makes him tea in the morning. Help-Ma-Boab
Hey Bob. Just a heads up. I hear the local Firemen are visiting homes in your area and checking out smoke detectors and offering general advice and the like. They only need to pop around once, not multiple visits at around lunchtime or when you are not in.
