I make this trip on a regular basis to watch the internationals.

I go Peckham Rye - Battersea Park

Battersea Park to Clapham J

Clapham J - Twikenham.

Sounds a bit long winded but because of the train frequency takes 40 minutes. Costs about a fiver if you do this route (not through central london)

Here's my aide-memoire re the ED->CLJ bit, where BAK=Battersea Park, CLJ=Clapham Jn, JT=Journey Time

BAK->CLJ weekday JT 3'

========

07/10/17/23/37/40/47/53

[so ED->CLJ via Peckham Rye, dep 44/14 arr 10/40, JT 26)]

[ ED->CLJ via Streatham Common, dep 00/30 arr 26/56 JT 26)]

[ ED->CLJ via West Norwood, dep 15/45 arr 45/15 JT 30)]

Peckham Rye->BAK (JT 12) VIC (JT 16)

============================

20/50

    • A big thanks to Julian for coming out to see to a gutter issue the next morning after a period of incredibly heavy rain. The gutter pipe in question is shared between four houses and the cause of the leak wasn't immediately obvious. Julian made two visits to make sure the issue was fully resolved and was highly efficient in his work and very personable too.
    • Who does it bother? The bikes take up more pavement space and are far more untidy.
    • Eliot built sitting room alcove shelving and cupboards for me earlier this year and did a great job. I highly recommend him. The joinery is completed to a really high standard; Eliot was super communicative throughout and took care to check details with me. The work was done on time and the guys took care to clean up afterwards (not always the case!). I’m extremely pleased with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.
