Storm.. he looks like the kind of person who maims insects for kicks. I wouldn't want to be trapped in a lift with him when the chips were down - ie around nowish.

I have to say that this years crop are particularly awful. I thought Matt Cardle was going to be 'the talent' this year, but it appears his voice doesn't really work when amplified and put to a backing track, which is an unfortunate disadvantage when you want to make pop records.

Last week we made the mistake of cutting straight from the XF straight into a performance by Cee Lo Green & his band on Jools Holland - and came back to musical reality with too much of a bump.

Still, hearing X-Factor announcer Peter Dickson attempt to apply his trademark showbiz gloss to the name 'Grimshaw' is well worth tuning-in for.

Ha ha, yep, had the same thought.

I find it amazing that Irish viewers can vote this year and by amazing coincidence there's a strong candidate from Dublin in the finals. Weird, almost as if it were designed that way...

Look, if you're going to play, then you're going to have to try and do better than this.

Have you tried YouTube? The comments section there is very popular amongst remedials - from all over the world.

Honestly - you should give YouTube a go. You can say what you like on there - the more stoopid, the better. Wanna bang on about Muslims, Gypsies etc etc? No problem! They love it. You'll be right at home! Neither spelling nor punctuation - or even sense - are required. In fact, you can just lean on the keyboard with your forearm, post it - and you'll probably get a standing ovation!

You were born for it.

Alas, it's an early bath for me tonight - but don't let that stop you. Enjoy the next hour. This is your time to shine.

I look forward to it. Goonight, sweet prince. *Mwah*

    • Sad times, and these crimes are only going to increase whilst next to nothing is done.
    • I don't understand this thread. If police were involved to chase the cyclist, why does the OP say "thank God the cyclist got away"? Police don't chase random cyclists who have done nothing wrong! I had originally assumed that the original chasing car was a police car, as the OP talks about "seriously erratic and dangerous driving by the police", but it seems not? Unmarked police cars put on blue lights when they need to make themselves known. There have been quite a few around in this area lately. Surely a police car would have put on those lights before giving chase?
    • I have taken to not using my phone on pavements in London period.. feel very vulnerable around ED anyhow as am alot slower with walking these days. When  you-think about it, surely we can all last until get to cafe, hospital, train station, shop, etc without this overwhelming need to see/check phone! Bus times are usually accurate when you tip up and never long to wait for buses anyhow. I use my phone alot during the day for various reasons but, trying to not use it  is the real test. I have found that you can always ask someone who, generally happy to accommodate. Lanyard that Sue has suggested - good idea but still phone is visible in this heat I would have thought, assuming she wars it round her neck so personally, think it is worse as bikers, gangs etc can just rip it off as they pass.
    • In my experience working with police, esp Roads Policing, they don't drive erratically and dangerously. Most of them will be TPAC trained, or done advanced driving at the very least. Police in car chases live in fear of injuring or killing a member of the public, it genuinely is one of their worst nightmares. So I feel safe assuming that whatever the kid on a bike had done, the pursuit and tactics were justified.  I don't understand "Thank God the cyclist got away before 2 police vans arrived to help". Are you saying you're glad that a wanted, probably dangerous, criminal escaped a co-ordinated, tactical pursuit, involving three police units? That's weird, especially given how much people complain about crime round here.
