There's a burst watermain on the South Circular opposite Horniman Gardens, the outflow of which is running down the hill towards the Grove. There were people working on it at 13.30 but it's making the surface unpleasantly greasy and it'll only get worse as the temperature drops towards rush hour, so two wheeled travellers may wish to consider an alternative route.

I was stuck in this earlier this afternoon. Nightmare, and potentially dangerous if we go sub zero again. Yet more shocking driving along that stretch where the main road meets the filter lane for the right turn up the hill. My blood pressure must be off the scale with the amount of screaming and shouting I've been doing today.

Louisa.

    • A website operator does have a defence available to them personally, https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2013/26/section/5, against a complaint of a defamation posted by someone else on their website.  They're required to deal with the alleged defamation by acting in accordance  with the regulations  at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukdsi/2013/9780111104620/pdfs/ukdsi_9780111104620_en.pdf. There's an Explanatory Note at the end of the regulations, that provides a  plainer language summary of them.

    • I'm not, I'm defending this site. Litigious individuals, and it's now a fashion, can make publishers lives horrid. Or do you want the site closed down?
    • I’d highly recommend Daniel from Myhomesolution. He’s currently refurbishing our cellar and retrofitting a wet room into an existing bathroom, and the quality of his work has been excellent throughout. He’s incredibly neat, pays close attention to detail, and clearly puts a lot of thought into how to achieve the best possible finish. His workmanship is solid, he communicates well, and he takes real pride in getting things right. We’ve been really impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.
