I am 35+1 wks today and, according to my loving husband, have entered the "pregnancy crazies" phase. What this means basically is that everything irritates me to an enormous degree and mostly it's things that he does (or doesnt do). My daughter is also making me crazy for various reasons - her tendency to not listen, take forever to do anything, cry for the most bizzare reasons (look sweetie I bought you a new coat!)... Yes I know she is only 4 and a bit. The mess in the house will probably finish me off - especially since bending down to pick things up/clean/put socks on is a huge effort. I also have two more weeks at the office and even though that is only four actual days left it feels me with rage.

Am I the only one? I literally feel like I may explode.

It is just his excuse for his inabilty to multi task. Making you feel guilty. It will only get worse. If you expect nothing of him then you will only ever be pleased. ( I have not mastered this but I do know woman that have- usually sahm's). Meanwhile I fell like you do at least 25% of hte time....................;-)
My husband has his faults but mostly he is supportive, cooks and cleans and takes care of DD. But it takes very little to set me off. True he is unable to multitask - case in point the same meal will take me about 30mins to cook and it will be an hour for him. In any case, arghhhhhh!

Gosh Pickle, I tell my husband his breathing* is too loud all the time, but certainly was telling him that even when I wasn't pregnant and when the children were being angels sleeping through the night!

I don't think you're being unreasonable at all Supergolden as it's very hard to have a 4 year old around when in your 3rd trimester (or 2nd or 1st for that matter). As everyone says men and multitasking don't go hand in hand for some completely unknown reason.

breathing too loudly is different than snoring for which a kick is involved.

I had a go at my OH for rustling the duvet too loudly when the baby was sleeping. :-0 It was a very crinckly cotton duvet...

Um, I'm just 17 weeks and I have got the "crazies" big time. My poor hubby can't do anything right - if he tries to unload the dishwasher while I'm cooking I want to kill him because he gets in my way, but if he doesn't help clean up I want to kill him. Don't even get me started on breathing too loud....it could be a long 40 weeks at this rate!
I'm with Pickle on this - 2+years on from no 2 and hubby still winds me up even though I know he's trying his best and he does do loads, just takes 3 times as long as I would! I think it's just that he focuses on what he's doing whereas I'm worrying about how that one thing links into 5 other issues. I've certainly been far worse since the kids came - stuff that I could ignore before just does make a difference now.

Pregnancy definitely makes you irritable. If my husband came anywhere near me in bed (not even in 'that' way), I would scream 'ENCROACHING!!!!'.....

Sadly for everyone, I'm not sure the arrival of the baby will put an end to the 'crazies', I'm still in full-blown crazy-land (but happy at the same time.... not sure the same for hubby!)

    • What was he doing on the stage at Glastonbury? Or on the stage at the other concert in Finsbury Park? Grinning like a Cheshire cat whilst pissed and stoned 20 somethings on the promise of free internet sung-- Oh Jeremy Corbyn---  What were his policies for Northern mining towns with no jobs or infrastructure? Free Internet and university places for youngsters. What were his other manifesto pledges? Why all the ambiguity over Brexit?  I didn't like Thatcher, Blair or May or Tony but I respected them as politicians because they stood by what they believed in. I respect all politicians across the board that stick to their principles. Corbyn didn't and its why he got  annihilated at the polls. A socialist, anti imperialist and anti capitalist that said he voted for an imperialist and pro capitalist cabal. He refused to say how he'd vote over and over again until the last knockings. He did so to appease the Islington elite and middle class students he was courting. The same people that were screaming that Brexit was racist. At the same time the EU were holding black and Asian immigrants in refugee camps overseas but not a word on that! Corbyn created and courted a student union protest movement that screamed at and shouted down anyone not on the left . They claimed Starmer and the centre right of labour were tories. He didn't get elected  because he, his movement and policies were unelectable, twice. He turned out not to have the convictions of his politics and died on his own sword.    Reform won't win an election. All the idiots that voted for them to keep out Labour actually enabled Labour. They'll be back voting tory next time.    Farage wouldn't be able to make his millions if he was in power. He's a very devious shyster but I very much doubt he'd actually want the responsibility that governance requires.
    • The purge of hard left members that were part of Corbyn's, Mcdonnel's and Lansmans momentum that purged the party of right wing and centrist members. That's politics. It's what Blair did to win, its what Starmer had to do to win. This country doesn't vote in extreme left or right governments. That's partly why Corbyn lost  We're pretty much a centrist bunch.  It doesn't make it false either. It's an opinion based on the voting patterns, demography and statistics. Can you explain then why former mining constituencies that despise the tories voted for them or abstained rather than vote for Corbyns Labour?  What is the truth then? But he never got elected!!! Why? He should have been binned off there and then. Why he was allowed to hang about is an outrage. I hold him party responsible for the shit show that we've had to endure since.
    • Depends on what the Barista says doesnt it? There was no physical confrontation with the driver, OP thinks she is being targetted when she isnt. These guys work min wage under strict schedules so give them a break unless they damage your stuff
    • CPR Dave, attendance records are available on Southwark's website. Maggie Browning has attended 100% of meetings. Jon Hartley has attended 65%.
