Earphones for running

Can anyone recommend earphones for running ? My ipod earphones died recently and I replaced them with some earbud type ones from Sennheiser, which sound good if your standing still but constantly fall when you're jogging along.

How big are your ears? I use B&O A8 Earphones. Great sound and they stay on because they hook over your ears, but not good if you have small pixie ears!

Etymotic research. They'll stay in and the quality is spectacular. Mind you they block off ALL noise, cars, people, birds chirruping, your baby crying, even underground commuting hell noise.

They can be a bit intrusive, but once you get used to them, no turning back.

Mind you, 90 quid a pair.

Thanks - call me a cheapskate but I wasn't looking to spend quite as much as that, but then I guess you get what you pay for.

My dad got these http://www.shure.com/ProAudio/Products/PersonalMonitorSystems/us_pro_E3_content for me a year or so ago. They're great, but will also set you back a bit.

They come with all different size ear insert things so you can choose the most comfortable ones for you.

Be warned though, as soon as there is ANY indication of the rubber insert slipping off the main headphone bit, change the insert! I spent a couple hours at Kings A&E feeling like an idiot waiting to get the thing out of my inner ear. No damage done, but just bloody annoying!

I also have the shure. They're hardier, but less comfort and less quality, but also less money!

And yes, I have had a tweezer moment with the etymotics too, luckily didn't need to go to casualty for it ;-P

Yep, sometimes they just feel like they're slipping a bit when you take them out. Also when you give them a clean, just check how firm they are!

for about ?9 you can pick up decent sports pair the type that sit on the outside of your ear and have a lightweight plastic loop that goes round the back of the neck.
