  1. We're pretty good on the recycling and lights off action. We all use laptops so they get turned off and locked up at night. We're by Southwark tube, so there's no parking, and I think only one person in the whole office drives in. (One director rides motorbikes which is better than one person in a car, right?). I'm currently taking steps to make sure all of our stationery / letterhead / biz cards / collateral docs, etc are printed using sustainable printing techniques and paper. Oh, and as part of our collateral I'd like to send clients cloth bags to use and re-use, but haven't put that forward to the boss yet. There is a small issue with the girls constantly turning the heat up to the point where afternoons in the office are basically like a gap year in Borneo. Well, it's not all their fault. It's a big open plan warehouse conversion with a rubbish air conditioning system that can heat and cool itself at the same time (working massively overtime, basically).

What I reckon: Yes, the food certainly isn't Mexican food like I have had (and that wasn't 100% as I was in southern California), but it's not a terrible effort given the ingredients available to them. The Margaritas ARE EXCELLENT! Although I think I may have had to ask to keep the ice in mine, can't remember... Service was good when I went. Overall it's a bit of fun, and even more fun if you like margaritas as much as I do. Oh, and I love the decor, and how they spell it 'Passo' out front.
  3. Isn't the letter sent to you so that if you don't like the idea of it you can opt out?
  4. Call it two dinners then... after work drinks before I head home after a hard week for all of us!
  5. I want a Stevie Gerraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard one.
  6. Thanksgiving leftovers. Awesome.
  7. I don't get what they're doing with this third runway plan. I heard that the 'Heathrow Minute' (the timing between each landing aircraft) has been reduced to 45 seconds. This is clearly mental and they use one runway for arrivals and the other for departures, meaning that departing aircraft often have to cross the arrivals runway during the 45 seconds between landing aircraft. Holy Cr#p! Anyway, I like the idea of a third runway for safety's sake, but if they're just going to cram in extra flights with it, then... well, I don't like it!
  8. Why isn't there a 24 hour video stream from inside the CPT? Out of closing hours we could watch people watching TV upstairs. It would be awesome.
  9. I remember Roullier White being quite friendly last Christmas shopping season, but I did go in there every day browsing for the little presents (and usually buying them) Spence

Yeah I love the P13 on those days when they show up right after you get to the bus stop, otherwise it seems like you have to wait an age. It's my Sainsbury's bus. It's quality in that respect.
  11. I heard about that Guinness Red ages ago, but I guess it must have just been entering a testing phase, so I never saw it and completely forgot about it. Hopefully I'll get to try a pint soon, sounds interesting...
  12. P13 drivers seem to be the most aggressive of all of the bus drivers in the area, or so I've noticed. Is it tight schedules or do bad double-decker drivers get punished by being made to drive the 'silly little buses'?
  13. Faux this, I'm logging off and going home...
  14. Spent and Skint are making the most sense! (Actually I have very reasonable rent) AnotherRoad is my favourite so far though :-)
  15. So, Mr & Mrs Barryroad (Bazzer and Bazzette) are going to move in together somewhere outside of ED in the new year. It's up to you all to come up with my new 'forum name' for when I am no longer a resident of beautiful and lengthy Barry Road. What do you reckon?
  16. I walk when in East Dulwich - except for the way home from Sainsbury's when I have more than one 'bag for life' on the go. Sometimes when I do have bare, BARE stuff (sorry Keef) I try to walk it and have ended up getting on the P13 outside Co-op pharmacy ALL THE WAY to the CPT (where I have a pint and then go home to do drunk cooking. If I had a car and a license I'd probably do the Sainsbury's run in it, but then I wouldn't be able to fit it all in the fridge... As for driving to LL, I think that would be silly given my location. I hardly go to LL anyway.. sorry that was pretty long and it took me a while to get to the point.. won't happen again.
  17. I'd buy the CPT, a small flat somewhere near the river, and a house in southern California. I'd live in California, but obviously have weekends out in London every once in a while. I'd put a bunch of the money in an established design group and work there from time to time. :-)
  18. When there's nothing but GTI Golfs and Audis outside 'affordable housing'.
  19. I accidentally drank a bottle of Gallo White Grenache (it was on special at Sainsbury's for ages - brilliant) on a week night a few weeks ago. Accidentally in that it was so cold and tasty that I didn't even realise I was getting pissed. Anyway, I went to bed pretty worried about the consequences, but woke up feeling better than I usually do in the morning with no booze! What the hell was that about?! I'll give the JD trick a try at some point.. but on a weekend in case it doesn't work for me.
  20. Taking beautiful photographs of crap souvenirs for a small London museum, only to be paid practically nothing and to have my abilities and general common sense questioned several times a day: "of course I'll make sure the handle of the Diana memorial mug is in shot, not only because it's a mug, but if it wasn't in shot you couldn't see the bloody design on it, could you?!" oh, and it was in an unheated basement office surrounded by building works. The ceiling was so thin that you could hear every tourist's step in the museum shop above, and the repetative classical muzak between the drilling. The dust wasn't exactly great for my camera either, but I needed the money.
  21. Good luck Keefy my man, see you in a bit at the wedding band rehearsal!!
  22. Creative stuff: Design, interactive development (not web stuff), lots of thinking about all things visual and putting them on paper (or screen), basically. And a bit of project management. My job title is 'The CreativeSomeone', which kind of sums up the fact I do all sorts!
  23. My girlfriend swears by Emily's fish bar's chips, but neither of us have had the fish there.
