I know that this could be interpreted as admitting to certain inadequacies in my mental balance, spiritual health or social life, but after posting on the other two message boards I visit, I've noticed that on occasion, I get unnecessarily irate when a post I've taken some time to write, and in some cases research, has to be edited.

I don't mind that it has to be corrected, but sometimes I get momentarily pissed-off at my edit being noted by the forum software, as if my effort has been somehow stained by both my own lack of attention and an unsympathetic forum designer. Or both.

Does anyone else's bottom lip curl under their top row of teeth, as if to offer some expletive, upon realising their error. That will be marked as edited for all of their online contemporaries, and, indeed, adversaries to collectively snigger at?

Naturally, I imagine that this occurrence particularly frustrates Huguenot. What with having to amend his purposefully arcane and carefully crafted posts designed to promote his own supposedly superior intellect, and to baffle seemingly lesser mortals such as the poster Jalapeno. I should know, I admit to sometimes being guilty of even greater pomposity, eh, RosieH.

So, East Dulwich. Am I alone*?

*Don't even think of lying. Your denial will only confirm my suspicions.

Lol! I did get annoyed with myself earlier, since in my conviction I'd substituted pronouns with indecent regularity, to the point where the post could be interpreted a million different ways.

Each time I reread it I recognised an alternative interpretation and had to correct it.

By the time I'd clarified it, it's another 'edited x times', and I was mildly irritated that this should be interpreted as flip-flopping rather than sorting out loose prose.

I reassured myself by deciding that no-one would notice.

Now I realise that you bloody do.

    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • Sorry duplicate post
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
