It happens about three or four times a week, always 3AM, and drives me insane - I already posted about it. Very loud, a bit military drill sergeant, a bit horse racing commentator, a bit mad preacher. Didn't hear it last though which is unusual because it pretty much always wakes me up. I've called the council and they've given me the number for the community wardens who (apparently) can remove him if you call them when it's happening.

This has been going for getting on for almost a year at least. I'm often sitting on my balcony having a cigarette between 3 and 4am and can hear him very clearly from the Nunhead side of the Rye.

My partner started a thread about it 11 months ago: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,374310

Edited for carp slepping

I've been tempted to go looking a few times but it's always too late and I can't be bothered to get out of bed. I like the idea of running him out of the park vigilante style though!! Anything for a good night's kip. I've been retiring to the spare room of late to avoid hearing it.

this guy has serious mental health problems and is- I have no doubt- not doing it for fun/to ruin your sleep

I've seen him walking about with no shoes on :'(

I always think of trying to track down the community mental health team at 4 am when he wakes me up but find I manage to forget all about it in the morning :-$

    • Smallish job, would suit a sole trader rather than a Lordship Lane Carpets type company...
    • Sorry this just didn’t seem to belong to request a tradesperson. any good experiences? Not a chiropodist!
    • Crofton Park (borough of Lewisham) has a community notice board which as well as listing councillors is full of notices about local community activities of all sorts and for all ages. It is clean and tidy and only has one small fly poster (attached with one very small piece of tape, and easily removed - I didn't though). Crofton Park also has a lovely little community garden alongside the station, full of flowers, with lots of things of interest to kids,  and also obviously lovingly maintained. I don't know who the land belongs to - possibly the station, though access is via the adjoining road. If Lewisham council/Crofton Park residents can maintain a community notice board, why can't Southwark Council/East Dulwich residents?
