tas
You can use google maps. Just right click on the school, select measure distance, and click on the point you are interested in. Ginster
One school we visited said to use a site called Daft Logic Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/136961-distance-calculator-as-the-crow-flies-for-schools/#findComment-1088922 Share on other sites
devsdev
While not a straight line calculator, it does map the school catchment area: http://www.schoolcatchment.co.uk/. The search function for postcodes isn't great, but you can drag and drop the pin for your address so it's more accurate. Jemmarc
You can email the admissions team at the Council and they can tell you exactly as they will measure it. At least you can with Lewisham which is where we are. I'm sure they don't have time for hundreds of emails with long lists of schools but I think if it genuinely affects your decision as to preferences etc they will help. In our case the 'pin' on some of the online maps wasn't actually showing accurately where we lived. I emailed the council and they responded within a couple of days. Fjgb
I strongly recommend you contact the council to get this info as doing it by postcode isn't accurate - on online tools it just measures from the centre of a postcode whereas the accurate distance might be 30-40 metres different.
