1-1 or 2-2 me thinks, let's go with 2-2, a Berbatov double with Van Persie & Eduardo (who comes on as sub & gets the equalizer) & both goals set up by Fabregas. Jol & Wenger to have another touchline row & end up throwing water or squirting that drink over each other & both getting sent to the stands by the ref. Quite an enjoyable game I'd say!! :))

So by my reckoning Annasfield and East Dulwich Angst got 1 each right. Well done to the Scots,

commiserations to the Irish and bloody marvellous

Thanks EDA, I really should have put a bet on but as they say hindsight is a wonderful thing! >:D<

I have just enjoyed watching England thump the Argies 6-1 in the World Cup- thanks in part to 2 penalties, an own goal,a dreadful goalkeeping error and the other lot being down to 10 "men" :-$ - but the score did nonetheless reflect Ingerland's all-round superiority. The quarter final is on Saturday against the USA so no excuses for not draping yourselves in the Flag of St George in front of a TV....

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
