ultrauk
I was walking past Halls & Co Solicitors this evening (399 Lordship Lane) at 8pm to see a homeless guy covered in a blanket in the doorway next to the Costcutters shop.It really did upset me to think that someone was sleeping in such a poor uncovered space within a major road. Has anyone seen this guy here before? :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13811-homeless-on-lordship-lane/ Share on other sites
nozchik
Yes, about million times in marble arch subway on my way to work. Very sad, but when i spoke to one of them in very cold winter morning (offered him to hot tea and KFC) he said "this is my life and i did this to myself". :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13811-homeless-on-lordship-lane/#findComment-372350 Share on other sites

SteveT
When I lived in Herne Hill there was a chap covered with a blanket who sat next to the cash machine, and according to the police who knicked him for other charges, he had his own flat and car but chose to lounge about begging for a living. ImpetuousVrouw
I think someone sleeping in a doorway at 8pm is unlikely to be just trying to con some money out of people. Sounds like he'd settled down to sleep cos he had nowhere better to sleep. ratty
Very common for mobile phones to be made available to homeless people to try to make them safer!
