Ear piercing for 10 year old

Can anyone recommend somewhere local (or central London) where my 10 year old can get her ears pierced (at her vehement request, I hasten to add - for her birthday). Harold George in Dulwich Village no longer does it and I'm not sure where else to go. I don't want to take her to Claire's Accessories and I want to make sure they do a very good job. TIA

You should look for a body piercing place where they will do this properly. They will have the correct equipment (needles rather than guns) and will be fully trained (unlike the staff at Claire's and high street shops.

We went outside of London to get my daughter's done.

My daughter and her friends all went to Beauty Haven on Amott Road.

Crystals pharmacy do it, in nunhead. Both my boys have had it done there.

Just ring them to find out when the person that does it is in

My daughters have not had any probs with Claire's Accessories over the years and youngest was at the Lewisham branch last October where the service was excellent.

Sorry meant the Croydon branch, although they've had ear piercings in the past at Lewisham but I think that branch don't do them anymore.

My daughter had her ears pierced at Claires in Lewisham this summer, no problems.

There is a tattoo shop in Ladywell. I think they do piercings as well. They're called 21st Century Tattoo. Give them a ring if no luck elsewhere?

I have double pierced ears. One set with the gun when I was 5-6yrs, the others I had done with a needle at a piercing shop when I was ~19yrs. For me there was no difference. Both were done by professionals, and I've had no problems with either set. xx

My daughter had her ears pierced at Topshop Oxford Street, very professional, no issues afterwards, plus we made it into a bit of an event with photo booth and shopping afterwards...

Friends have also had good experiences of Beauty Haven on Amott Road which obviously is closer to home.

Thanks so much everyone. I think I'll probably tak her to Beauty Haven. It's a shame Harold george no longer do it as that's where I had my ears pierced many years ago!
