The other thing that happens is that both families are mistaken, in a series of misunderstandings, as the real occupants of the houses they have swapped. So much so that they assume each others' lives, to much comic effect.

Both families love their new lives so much that in an unlikely series of events, they agree not to swap back.

This happy state of affairs is only broken by an unforseen tragedy in the third act (father of one family sleeps with cleaner/ child of other family dies whilst impersonating child of other family in football game etc) and everyone comes to their senses and agrees to go back to their old lives - but just that little bit changed (for the better, having learnt some valuable lessons).

You can see this on Channel 5 weekdays, about 1:30pm I think. If you want the w*anking into the silverware scene, though, you need to get the director's cut version on DVD.

    • I took it to mean that he was going to present all sides of the argument (for want of a better term) rather than just giving his own opinion. I didn't take it to mean that he was calling "his own views" balanced.
    • I just did this survey. There are a number of problems with it. For example, in at least two questions you have an option "other, please specify" but there is no way to specify what the "other" is. Also, you have several questions where if you have nothing appropriate to answer, you get a statement "this is a required question", or words to that effect, so you have to put in something like "nothing" in order to move on. Can I suggest that this is likely to confuse people so they just give up half way through? Maybe you should test it out on a few people before going "live" with it?
    • I went to Brockwell Lido on a hot day last summer to do some lengths. It was busy.  I kept getting other people's hair, which was floating around the pool, tangled in my hands. It was gross. I'm not sure if that was unusual, or if it's always like that on a hot day.
    • Didn't engage him in conversation but I think he was just 'collecting' for a 'charity' - without ID or anything else. Something to do with rehabilitation. They don't seem to bother with dusters. Which is probably a blessing.
