I have to agree with some of the, thread here there will always be rotten eggs in society that has no respect for animals and treat them cruelly. I understand vegetarian?s very well grow up as a SDA which a way of life for them it stems from the Old Testament dietary laws.

I myself am not.

aquarius moon: I think it?s lovely that you feel you were put on this planet to speak for animals/birds/insects etc.

Everyday there seems to be another animal cruelty story and it makes me so angry that people abuse animals in this way. What that man did to that his dog is sickening, what kind of person does that? Surely he is not quite right in the head, I hope he is sent away to prison/mental institution whichever is best suited! I often see dogs in the rescue I volunteer at who have been mistreated by their owners which has made them become aggressive and fearful of humans. Many of these dogs are not suitable to be rehomed which is terribly sad.

It is definitely down to the parents to teach their children to love animals and treat them well, I once saw a child of about 8 yank her puppy of the ground by its lead so it was dangling in the air because it pulled on the lead. Her mother did the same thing a few mins before therefore setting a bad example.

I have many friends who are vegetarian and I have no problem cooking for them a non meat meal just the way that when I go to theirs they have no problem cooking meat for me. I would like to convert to being a vegetarian, when I tried before I became terribly anaemic but I guess I wasn?t eating well and need to make sure I keep my iron levels topped up. Any tips where I can learn about starting out as a vegetarian?

Good Luck to you in spreading your message, if there were more people like you in this world I would be very happy :)

Just a follow up to my post on the 'rabbit fur coat discussion' thread,

and to put my point across that animals DO have feelings.

Look at the first six photos on this website, which has been named:

'Love and sorrow is felt by all living creatures' a love story of two swallows.

It's very sad.

I don't like when one's affection for animals is considered to culminate in complete vegetarianism. It's absurd. I love animals, and I am disgusted by the inhumane treating of such in certain meat processing entities or farms, however this should change - not terminate man's choice of food. Fur clothes - I don't get it - stupid act indeed. But in regard to one's diet - make the lion or the salmon stop eating living beings? - it's part of our nature, of our organism necessities.

    • I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Yousef and his team for my recent house move in East Dulwich. Downsizing and relocating  my stuff from a house to a flat was made a calm and pleasant experience. The move included large and heavy items of furniture, taking items apart and reassembling in the new place, as well as loads of boxes. Nothing was too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend this service, you will not be disappointed!
