for clarity, I haven't said that. Many people disagree with my views. I don't say they have mental illness. If I intimated that you have a mental illness it'll be for some other reason. And I wish to retract any accusation of you having a mental illness

But you do seem keen to equate Ireland fighting an often brutal colonial occupying force with Ireland voluntarily entering into a union with it's nearby trading partners. I am still calling that view (and not you personally) as nuts

Actually I don't think Collins sold out at all. He got as much as he believed was possible at the time. Of course this caused a civil war in Ireland. Just a few years earlier the 1916 rising was frowned upon by the majority of people in Ireland (at least from what my memory of reading Irish history is). The English f*cked up by killing the leaders of the rising, and as they say, the rest is history.

It seems the Irish politicians and bankers were schooled at the same asylum or bin,

as the British politicians and bankers.

Nobody gets knicked for fraud,

so the Irish judiciary is as dependable as the British judiciary.

Through greed and incompetence the Irish have become a bankrupt state,

so the British verging on the edge of the same financial precipice have agreed to loan them money,

as they are the biggest trading partner we have.

We are loaning money to a bankrupt state so they can continue to trade with us,

whilst using our own money to do so, does that position seem precarious to you?
