If I'm on a par with her then I'll give up now. I've never accused anyone of wiretapping foxy, and I say what I mean in a constructive way to help facilitate factual conclusions on often baffling forum topics. I am the voice of common sense in a world of expensive hot dogs and chain Indian restaurants.

Louisa (Aka Kelly-Anne Conway)

Sue if I'm trying too hard you must be not trying hard enough. I've become disappointed with your recent contributions. You used to provide intelligent debate, nowadays you just like to wind Foxy up and wait for a predictable reaction. Shame really.

I am not "playing games", I am just replying to YOUR observation about me "trying too hard". I didn't ask for your observation, and yet you gave me it anyway. And then tried to turn it around on me by saying "I don't give a f*** what you think of my posts". Well guess what, the feeling is mutual.

#FakePricing makes a story so much more 'delicious' I suppose

But add cheese, beef chilli and whatever, then somehow the price creeps up

But ?7.50, I dunno ?

You couldn't (in this mad post truth, post May, post Brexit world) make up someone like Kelly-Anne Conway or for that matter, Louisa.

But, I like both immensely. If only for the 'how mad is this world we live in' kinda way

Keep it up please, I feel safe in knowing where the lines are drawn.

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
