I asked a similar question a while back and a couple of people here recommended Danny's Nutty Parties.

We booked him and he was extraordinary! We had 25 five year olds entranced and entirely under his spell for the most brilliant Star Wars party. He does lots of other themes too. A mixture of drama adventure and traditional party games. Highly recommended.

I would definately suggest contacting Barrie Westwell how is a very accomplished master magician. He trains other magic performers. He is available to perform where ever you select

He also has his own small studio and a fascinating time can be had by kids and adults alike. It's located on Half Moon Lane and very close to Herne Hill station and very easy for a variety of busses.

I am not linked to this business but our children have been there and loved it.

We used Little Rascals for our son's 5th birthday - he wanted a Star Wars crossed with Lego Ninja party and these guys did it brilliantly. 2 people meant that no child was left out and the kids had a great time.

We used Ine Twist for my son's birthday last weekend and she was amazing!

She does magic shows too but we chose balloon modelling as hired JAGS sports centre (with bouncy castle and toys as part of the package) http://www.jagssportsclub.co.uk/childrens-parties/bouncy-castle-parties/.

Ine was incredibly popular with everyone, from babies to 7 yr olds (mainly boys but also some girls) and I'd highly recommend. Compared to some she was reasonably priced too. She made everything, from a tractor to aliens and all sorts of balloon animals :)

    • Hi Sue, they were not local solicitors. Andrea’s was based in Wales and the other firms involved were large nationwide conveyancing companies (rather than conventional high street solicitors). I’m happy to advise clients and buyers privately on what I believe to be their shortcomings but I don’t think doing so in public on the forum would be appropriate, particularly as they are not locally based. My general advice would always be to steer clear of the big conveyancing companies as they are, in my experience, notoriously difficult to contact when the need arises and the case handler is often not a fully qualified solicitor and so issues have to be referred upwards to “technical teams” internally, which was part of the problem in Andrea’s chain. • A slightly vulnerable but hopeful post… Hi everyone, I’m a guy in my mid-thirties who’s recently moved back to London and East Dulwich (I previously lived here for many years before, so I know the area well). But if I’m honest, I’ve found the return a little tough. Most of my close friends have moved out of London to start families — totally understandable — but it’s left me feeling a bit adrift and not quite sure how to make new connections again. Work has taken up a huge chunk of my life in recent years, and I’ve definitely let hobbies, interests and a proper social life fall by the wayside. I feel like I went from a fun social life in my 20’s to suddenly blinking and realising things had gone a bit er…quiet. So, I’m trying to redress the balance a bit — mainly so myself and my partner don’t murder each other 😂, and just to meet some new local faces. I was wondering: is anyone else in a similar boat? And would there be any interest in starting a relaxed, low-key local social group? Could be a casual pub meet, sports, park hangouts, live comedy nights — open to ideas!  I’m happy to do the organising/admin side of things — just wanted to put it out there and see if there’s any appetite. I’ll gauge interest and take it from there.  If you’d prefer not to reply publicly, feel free to drop me a DM.  Cheers all! 👋
    • It's Inner London. You could move somewhere else?
