Domitianus
Don't know if this has already been posted but the front of HSBC on LL has been taped-off by the police and there are detectives taking statements from various bods. In the middle of all this was a rather lonely looking security van. I understand that some security guard had his case full of money pinched again. This happened not too long ago in the same bank, I believe. Has the culprit been taking lessons from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? lozzyloz
Were they looking for Carbon Footprints? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1491-hsbc-has-been-done-over-again/#findComment-40832 Share on other sites
TillieTrotter
Blimey, I find it hard enough to get my money out of there. Maybe I need new tactics!! Domitianus
They should be. From the recent popular media having a big one is a worse crime than robbing a bank. As long as they made off on foot rather than in a Chelsea tractor I think they will be ok! Brendan
lol. How long have you been saving that one up for? Has this happened to any of the other banks on LL recently? Domitianus
Well, perhaps it is one of those customers who had their card cloned (allegedly) in a local commercial establishment and found the response of HSBC a little less than energetic! It would be one way to get their money back. (For legal purposes, let me make it absolutely clear that I have no doubt that HSBC behaved in response to such complaints in a completely legal, appropriate and professional manner - it just didn't always seem so to those who had several grand pinched from their accounts by someone buying a carpet in an Egyptian bazarr using their credit card and who found HSBC staff less emotionally engaged in it than they were. Is that ok, Administrator? Don't want to add to the impressive list of libel threats you have received) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1491-hsbc-has-been-done-over-again/#findComment-40839 Share on other sites
lozzyloz
Dom can you be a little more economical with the word count. In future I think a short summary will be more environmentally friendly :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1491-hsbc-has-been-done-over-again/#findComment-40846 Share on other sites
capt_birdseye
And some people say online banking is dangerous! When was the last time someone popped out of your screen and pointed a shotgun at you? monica
HSBC constantly have queues and you cant get in there sometimes so those guys who robbed the place must have been outside the bank in their stockings(on their heads of course)waiting for a bleeding long time before someone came to the counter. What time did this happen did anyone see any suspicious looking cars with maybe 2 blokes looking shifty trying to blend in on ll.They may have looked like extras from a guy ritchie movie. ed_pete
Far too obvious - the job was much more likely to have been carried out by a couple of women in their late 20's/early 30's with three-wheeled pushchairs to carry off the loot - last seen heading for the queue at William Rose Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1491-hsbc-has-been-done-over-again/#findComment-40881 Share on other sites

Rockets
Domitianus,My girlfriend just had her card skimmed in East Dulwich - I will PM you and let's compare notes. We have narrowed it down to two places in the vicinity. Everyone else beware! In my girlfriend's case the numpty used it to order from Tesco's direct and booked three flights to Italy - they better hope they used a false passport!
