Donations outside charity shops

The irony is that most of us get charity collection bags posted through the door every few weeks, so if you want to dump a load of stuff on the street and feel like you've donated to a cause you can actually do it without going to the effort of hauling it to a charity shop.

Mine never get collected and I've seen people going into gardens and taking the bags

And its mostly clothes they want.Free shop

in threshers.

My relative tells me there is a place off the A13 where they will buy your unwanted clothing for 60p a kg....

Yes, I heard that - but I thought you got vouchers to spend. More details of outlets accepting /buying clothes by weight would be helpful.

There's usually a number on the bag you can call if it's not collected.

Or just wait for the next one to come through the door and repeat.

I think a lot of these companies, cash for clothes

have closed down. Many being very specific about

what they wanted. I'd imagine people got fed up

Of being ripped off.

I've not used them before, but apparently TRAID will come and pick up donations (at least one bin bag full).
