Dulwich Library Clock

Whats happened to the clock outside Dulwich Library? Why is it grey and lost its face? Looks like its spray paint.. I miss the clock! Will it return?

I totally agree. When it was removed I thought it was being repaired but now it has just gone. I loved the clock and used it all the time. I wonder why it hasn't come back...

The clock was a local landmark,I do hope it will return.

The removal of the clock looks ominous to me,has it beeen sold on somewhere.

We know this goverment has an agenda for the libraries,but does that include Knocking them down and building these

sqaut little houses on them.

Every available space in East Dulwich is being built on,it will soon resemble China towns with no spaces at all.

We know they want to remove tenants from Westminster and boroughs like that,and the Elephant development,so are we

going to be flooded by those people.

It might be a exagerated but the clock may be the tip of the iceberg.

I have noticed its absence too, but never asked the librarians, figuring that they would be unlikely to tell me exactly what the decision behind it was. I hope they bring it back.

I heard that they are going to paint a white circle on the ground around the lamp post outside the Library and paint roman numerals so that the sun shows the shadow of the post would act as a Sundial.

Thats for the daytime the other post well be used for the night moonlight.

Ummm....WTF? You're equating the removal of a clock from a library, for which reason you have no idea (cleaning per chance?), with East Dulwich being "flooded" by "those people".

I don't even know where to begin with such insanity.

I can't say where I heard the hard fact but it comes from an ethical sauce.

What I meant by "those people" is the tenents that would be thrown out, nothing sinister in it,just you looking

for malice.

The clock was removed to be repaired in the Autumn.

The repairers are having problems as one of the parts they need t replace is apparently very unusual.

But library staff have chased and will be chasing the repairers.

I've missed the clock. I've habitually checked the time from it whilst going past whether on foot, car or bus since I were knee high to a grasshopper. So I have.
