The clock was a local landmark,I do hope it will return.

The removal of the clock looks ominous to me,has it beeen sold on somewhere.

We know this goverment has an agenda for the libraries, but does that include Knocking them down and building these

sqaut little houses on them.

Every available space in East Dulwich is being built on,it will soon resemble China towns with no spaces at all.

We know they want to remove tenants from Westminster and boroughs like that, and the Elephant development,so are we

going to be flooded by those people.

It might be a exagerated but the clock may be the tip of the iceberg.

I heard that they are going to paint a white circle on the ground around the lamp post outside the Library and paint roman numerals so that the sun shows the shadow of the post would act as a Sundial.

Thats for the daytime the other post well be used for the night moonlight.

Ummm....WTF? You're equating the removal of a clock from a library, for which reason you have no idea (cleaning per chance?), with East Dulwich being "flooded" by "those people".

I don't even know where to begin with such insanity.

Please tell me you are either about to be committed or on a deliberate wind up?

Cool your boots DC, I've heard the library has been mooted as the site for the new Waitrose and/or M?S Food.

I can't say where I heard the hard fact but it comes from an ethical sauce.

Selling our facilities for a mess of potage so they are.

Not even locally sourced potage at that.

On the forum David, you can be as bonkers as you want, its part of the craic.

What I meant by "those people" is the tenents that would be thrown out, nothing sinister in it,just you looking

for malice.

Have you never heard of the saying "for the want of a nail",this could be the same for the clock.

A bit of imagination and humour is needed to understand.

Eric Cantana would have picked it up straightaway.

    • Sue, Sue, Sue Yes the bus stop at what was The Kings Arms I believe remains closed,  However the stops at the Heaton Arms (no youngster here) is open. Easiest way is a 63 or 363 to Peckham Hill street and change for the 78 which takes you directly to the front door or as good as.
    • I need to go to Asda in the Old Kent Road tomorrow. Theoretically I can get a 78 or 363 bus, but it looks as if the bus stop at East Dulwich Road/Peckham Rye may be closed. I don't know why, but I assume it may be due to gas or water works. Does anybody know if it is just this bus stop, or are other bus stops (or the routes) affected?  I don't want to get a nasty surprise tomorrow, as I have an appointment, so it's time critical.
    • Hi, Have you tried reaching out to breed-specific rescue groups or shelters? Sadly, Cavapoos are one of the most exploited breeds in the UK due to their popularity, so due diligence is crucial. Cavapoos do occasionally pop up for adoption, especially puppies. TWB x
