Haircut for 12 year old boy...

Anyone have any recommendations for a good, reasonably priced local hairdressers for a 12 year old boy, he currently has long hair and would like it cut and styled, he still wants to keep some length so maybe not your run of the mill barbers as in our experience they just want to chop it all off and this is not what he wants. (12 year olds eh?!)

We used to go to GM's when he was younger but they have quoted ?25 - is it just me or is this a lot of money for a childs cut?

If he wants it styled Vik then you might just have to bite the bullet on the ?25. I usually take mine to the barber shop next to SMB on LL. They do midweek deals for kids, but they are a barber so don't know how they'd be with styling.

Agree with Sillywoman - if it were just a basic boy's haircut ?25 would seem steep, but for a "proper" style I guess it's fair to be charged adult prices.

The barber/hairdresser next to the post office on Forest Hill Road is good. My 13 year old son goes there. Initially he had clipper cuts but has recently wanted more styling with scissors and it always looks good and always under ?15.

CHAZ hairdresser on Bellenden Rd is great - George is very patient with kids, quick and good, and very reasonably priced (you will prob get it done for less then a tenner). He is based by the Melange Chocolate. highly recommended!

My teenage son was very happy with the cuts he had from Francisco. I went there too. He is now operating a home visit service. Last cut I got was ?14. His number is in the link if you are interested. He is Spanish by the way.

Barry's Barbers, in the parade of shops in Barry Rd near the clock House Pub, there' 2 barbers there and both cut trendy haircuts for 12 year old boys and anyone else for that matter, reasonably priced too.
