Chippy Minton
This is a long shot as I'm sure everywhere will have the rugby on, but is anywhere showing the Reading v QPR match tonight? Eddie M
You could try Hoopers on Ivanhoe Road. Nick the barman is a QPR fan and there are three screens - so I'd be surprised if it weren't on in the back bar at least (Plus they serve ace beers) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15602-any-pubs-showing-reading-v-qpr-tonight/#findComment-407573 Share on other sites
simpo
Following on from the above having called every pub in ED/Peckham Hoopers were indeed the only one showing the game and Nick the barman was very hospitable despite having to show the rugby in the main room. Top beer and a top pub, refreshing compared to the pretentiousness encountered on lordship lane etc... Chippy Minton
I ended up taking a chance at the CPT, thinking a) it wouldn't be that busy, and b) they've quite a few tellys so at least one would have the match. Obviously I was wrong and having got there a bit late anyway, we decided against the yomp down to Hoopers - not too bad a choice given the final result :(If Sky ever show a Reading game again that doesn't clash with either an international rugger match or an ESPN Premier League game I'll be amazed! Until that happens, I'll have to remember Hoopers for next time. NickTheSnick
Happy to be of help simpo, and even happier with the 3 points that we pretty much stole from you.We do our best to show lower league games at Hoopers whenever possible, QPR v Forest this Sunday should be a cracker.
