I thought ( for a moment ) you'd shanked him.

( over a boundary issue, which itself is almost a bookish pun )

Hmmmmm,

The individual walked towards the group, with everyone standing back smiling and happy to prohibit obstruction; then having walked 20m... decided to come back to the group and proceed to moan even though a genuine apology was provided albeit not really needed ** thats an English thing me thinks **. This is a path 4-times wider than a pavement.

Replace the small jogging group with local mothers and prams having a chat, or the many football groups seeking sanctuary on the path to swap boots for trainers, or even the local Thai Chi group that use the path outside the caf?. This person was clearly having a bad day and looking to take it out on any object in 'it's' way. The Rye is a fantastic place for the community, blessed with different forms of activities, young, not so young and full of different abilities.

Bottom line, 'don't sweat the small stuff in life!'

( The toad leaps from the pond life and seeks sanctuary below water level!)

Gosh, even Sydenham gets the Endz treatment. Last name check I saw was in Alan Bennett's Three Stories.

( I wonder if that's upper or lower though )

WOW.

Nette.:-S

fuck dat shit man with ma other endz hoes on the back seat

(clearly that spelling suggests a selection of garden implements, which is much more in keeping with ED's organic roots, but without the E, it would read more like hoz on the backseat, and I'm not sure what that would be)

nice work *bob*

    • I suppose wind could have blown rubbish out of bins down into the pond. But I also counted three footballs and some smaller balls. Regrettably, there is also what seems to be a large dead carp or waterfowl, hard to tell at distance. I just hope the water quality is okay. I am not clear to what extent the pond is managed.
    • My initial thought was whether they would keep the East Dulwich Road site given how close they are - but then they've only just re-done it so I assume will be planning to run both.
    • I hope witnesses are phoning 999 to report a crime in progress.
    • Under Section 3 of Criminal Law Act 1967 ANY PERSON may use such force as necessary in the prevention of crime or assisting in the arrest of offenders or suspected offenders. Key message is the force used must be proportionate.  Sadly many of these offenders carry knives (such as the two who stabbed people in Bishopsgate when bystanders intervened. The offenders were subsequently tracked down but it might have been a murder enquiry but for a few millimetres.) Therefore robust action should only be taken if you are confident. As per the previous post, your actions will be scrutinised but could be completely lawful.
