Advice on cars which fit double buggies?

We found that some double buggies didn't fit in any car, others fitted in quite modest boots. We went for a BabyJogger double as it folds in the middle and worked a treat for us. I think that the Out & About Nipper does the same. The Mountain Buggy hinged at the front and had no chance in our car. We used to have an old BMW saloon, now a VW Touran. Wish your friend all the best - having twins is fab (albeit a tad tiring at times). Rob

We can fit a double buggy in the back of our Audi A4 Estate- it's a P reg and we got it for ?850, so it didn't break the bank! Lovely roomy boot- fits double buggy and other baby/life detritus. I believe the same could be said for the VW Passat Estate, too (v similair measurements etc)

      That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!

      Shredded paper recycling

      Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?

      I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
