But get it quick as the stockpiles the government (the government, robbin, not scaremongering lefty Remoaners!) have told the pharmaceutical companies to create won't last forever...

I notice in her speech May mentioned the 3rd option for the first time, remain in the EU. A tactic no doubt though still a possibility. I wonder how many additional letters of no confidence in her will be written as a result of this. Even if there was a vote, she could win it as what other options are there?

I've been thinking for a little while that May's tactics have been to make such a hash of negotiations that it will never get through Parliament and so the UK will remain in UK. She was a Remainer after all. But I'm probably just being fanciful.

But Brexit Secretary's job is to get the coffee and biscuits.

Thatcher won a vote of confidence but still resigned as she didn't carry an overwhelming majority...

She (No10) attempted to clarify that but just confused more (something about Labour)

Anyway I see a huge catfight coming (and not only Larry).

May was never a staunch Remainer in the first place. No doubt there will be a blame game by Brexiters, but not one of them has ever wanted to own Brexit, hence why May was elected as leader. She was their patsy, it was common knowledge that if Brexit went ahead she'd then be kicked out. Looking likely that she may not even get that far...

2nd referendum odds now 13/8 on!

ps good day to SEND YOUR MP AN EMAIL if you haven't already. Helen Hayes is backing another vote, but it might be helpful to let Harriet Harman know your views.

'If any agreement is voted down by Parliament, my preference is for there to be a general election - to try to get a Government that can negotiate the best agreement for our country. However, if a general election is not possible, all other options for breaking the impasse must be kept open including a public vote.'

Is this a quote from Harman?...

I heard on the radio this morning that if there are to be any resignations of an orchestrated nature, they tend to be on the hour, and right on cue McVey resigns an hour after Raab. Tick tock...

Thanks poch, from a personal point of view there's no point in another GE if Labour are still going down the Brexit route like they did at the last GE. Any form of Brexit will damage the economy and impact the poorest the most. So if anyone of a similar mind is writing to HH, please make a point of that, adding that a People's Vote is the only way out of this mess...

Thanks DB. For those in her constituency, TODAY is the day to email. It can take as little as 1 minute if you're busy and want to keep it brief.

Great that Helen Hayes has come out for a 2nd Referendum.

The idea that another vote is anti-democratic when TM's deal bears NO resemblance to what was sold to us 2.5 years ago is getting harder and harder to swallow. A whole-scale failure to live up to all those Brexit promises IS anti-democratic.

    • Hello.  A parcel for someone at 64B Blenheim Grove has been dumped at my address.  If anyone from 64B is in this forum, please get in touch!
    • CPR Dave is anti-dogs. Each to their own  I think my dog has perhaps grown a bit less nervy about the fireworks in the last few weeks, interestingly. Our last dog had no problems with them until he reached old age, when he became petrified.  CPR Dave - it's not just sounds of the metropolis they hate, mine collapses in fear when he hears thunder too
    • There's quite a difference between going for a run around the footpaths and trying to sit quietly for an afternoon in a wide, grassy area and enjoying the peace & nature. The other two grassy areas in the park are used for sports, and both had barriered trackway running through them. The Parkrun had to be cancelled for at least three weeks, iirc. I'm concerned by your continued reference to "the rye" - the event is held in the park, not on the rye (common). There is a big difference, despite the organisers and council artificially amalgamating the whole area when trying to convince everyone that it's only a small area that is closed off. The railings & gates enclosing the park are a big clue...
    • So have you cancelled your contract with InPost / Yodel now? If so, that's probably caused hundreds of parcels to be stuck in limbo, as they've said to me before that they can't redirect them to a different store. I have a parcel that was refused by you twice, the last time on 5/12, and since then there's been no updates, despite me calling them 3 times. They just say it's being investigated, but if they now can't physically deliver to you then that is obviously the issue. So much for shopping for Christmas presents early, looks like I'll never get them now.
