Unless the ststem has changed in last year, you can only book in advance by phone if you're a member, otherwise you can go in person and buy your ticket in advance for a future session. If you turn up on spec, my experience was often that the sessions were full. Very frustrating to plan your day, esp feeding, and pack all the swimming faff only to find you can't go.

On the other hand, sometimes they would say it was full but if you waited til quarter past, you could go in because there were those who had booked but not shown up.

Useful - Thank you! I am a member of the sports centre in ED, run by Fusion like Peckham Pulse - don't suppose you know whether that qualifies you as being able to book in advance or if you specifically need a Pulse Fusion membership>

(the family leisure access card sounds like a good idea!)

It's not centre based. If yo call fusion head office to get your id and pin you can use the online booking for all centres

Gives you moeny off swimming as well. Shouldn't be necessary though, really, just to be able to get in to jelly babies!

As someone else has said you can book 6 days in advance over the phone (didn't realise you could also book online) if you have an Axess card. You can also book over the phone without membership but there is a minimum card payment charge of ?5. Not great if you're booking for 1 adult as it's ?4.40 but you could book and pay for you and a friend? I booked today for Tuesday afternoon for me (Axess family membership) and 2 friends who are non-members.

In terms of just turning up, it has been fully booked in advance the last few Sundays and was pretty full before the queue formed last Tuesday afternoon.

    • It is intimidating looking through the book sections now.  I sometimes wonder if they're stocking bookshops' remainders. OTOH, when I put  some books out in a cardboard box for taking, it was  encouraging to see that a fair proportion of those taken were aged hardbacks.
    • Thank you so much!
    • For a start you could just try a standard shutdown and let the system try its own tidy-up and  graceful process halting.   Then remove the disk, which can be examined elsewhere.  Alternatively doesn't windows have a task manager that can show you what processes and devices are running, and allow you to shut any down.Ctrl_Alt_Delete?   Or use a command window or ?Explorer to examine any changes in the contents of the external drive.
    • There are quite a few chains on LL- M&S food, Co-OP,Poundland,Holland and Barratt,Pret (LL-ish), Megans,Superdrug,Costa,Gails,Joe and the Juice, Gormet Burger Kitchen,Sweaty Betty, Oliver Bonas... Those are the ones I can think of.
