Six left? Episodes 15,16 then 17,18 and 19.20 to come, so finale is Sat 26th March?

If any of you had a heart, at all, you could post a bit of an update for those of us who haven't seen anything since episode 8. For instance, who is Olav? Olav? Did you make him up?

Ive just caught up with ep 16 all the red herrings seem to be falling by the wayside as the jumper gets back on the case.

Lund is getting support in following up her new lead which is proving to be finally on the right track and seems to be shedding light on more then just Nannas murder. Olav was just a space filler and of not much importance apart from who he dealt with and the killer is close to being revealed with a big clue in this episode.

Er...we know there were two killers, and one has already been identified and done a suicide-by-cop! :)) The pattern thus far of this riveting series seems to be to introduce a new suspect/red herring at the start of alternate episodes, and show how he cannot be the culprit in the following episode. In between these 2 events we get to holler from behind the sofa at Lund for stupidly going into darkened, perilous buildings without back-up, flashlight, gun, portable nuclear weapon etc etc.

With just 2 hours to go I still think it could be Rie's dad!B)

Sofie Gr?b?l was on Woman's Hour this morning. The audio interview's available at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0100h4q . With Flash installed you can get to it directly as Chapter 1 at the bottom of the page. And series 3 starts shooting in August.

Oh flipping heck.

Just getting my way through this, and then I saw a comment about series 2.

Is this going to be one of those silly bloody serials where you don't find out what happens before you've been dragged through several series of deteriorating quality and increasingly silly new characters?

    • But all those examples sell a wide variety of things,  and mostly they are well spread out along Lordship Lane. These two shops both sell one very specific thing, albeit in different flavours, and are just across the road from each other. I don't think you can compare the distribution of shops in Roman times to the distribution of shops in Lordship Lane in the twenty first century. Well, you can, but it doesn't feel very appropriate. Haa anybody asked the first shop how they feel? Are they happy about the "healthy competition" ?
    • ED is included in the 17 August closure set (or just possibly 15 August, depending on which part of the page you trust more) listed at https://metro.co.uk/2025/07/25/full-list-25-poundland-stores-confirmed-close-august-23753048/. Here incidentally are some snippets from their annual reports, at https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/02495645/filing-history. 2022: " during the period we opened 41 stores and closed 43 loss-making/under-performing stores.  At the period-end we were trading from 821 stores in the UK, IoM and ROI. ... "We renogotiated 82 leases in the year, saving on average 45% versus the prior lease agreement..." 2023: "We also continued to improve our market footprint through sourcing better store locations, opening 53 and closing 51 stores during the year." 2024:  "The ex-Wilco stores acquired in the prior year have formed a core part of this strategy to expand our store network.  We favour quality over quantity and during the period we opened 84 stores and closed 71 loss-making/under-performing ones."
    • Ha! After I posted this, I thought of lots more examples. Screwfix and the hardware store? Mrs Robinson and Jumping Bean? Chemists, plant shops, hairdressers...  the list goes on... it's good to have healthy competition  Ooooh! Two cheese shops
    • You've got a point.  Thinking Leyland and Screwfix too but this felt different.
