Term Dates from September 2011

Hello, I'm trying to organise a holiday in the summer but the Lewisham website is down and I can't find out when term starts again in September. Southwark says Monday 5th September but I know that last September our school went back on a different day to most Southwark schools. Just wondered if anyone has been given advance info by a Lewisham school.

I'm desperately hoping its the 6th as that would make things a whole lot cheaper and easier for us!!

It will vary school by school I'm afraid, due to INSET days.

Most schools take an INSET day or two at the start of the Autumn term before the pupils are in.

They will have agreed the terms dates by now for sure. Smetimes a school leaves an INSET day tbc, but not usually so it affects the start or end of term...

If Lewisham website is still down trying looking at some of the lewisham school websites that are not linked to it. They should have dates.

It is probably best to contact the school as I know that last year some primary schools in Southwark went back at the end of August whilst other went back nearly a week later!
