We all know the fragrant and ever-so-lovely East Dulwich Mum has her own blog, and it appears from another thread that Keef has started one too. Do any other EDF people have one they are willing to share?

I'll own up to this. I wirte it jointly with a guy at work so if you find any of it offensive he wrote those bits and I did the funny stuff (hopefully).

The musings of Mme Mao

Can you recommend any that you regularly read yourself?

I'm a fan of:

Londonist. Lots of contributors, stuff going on in london. Through these people I found out about things like the Chap Olympics and much much more

Jon Swift. Funnily enough a satirist, he's a sharp wit but the best bit are the commenters who really don't get the joke.

City of Lions. Can't go without mentioning our very own Huguenot, though he could do with updating it a bit more, hint hint.

Flip Flop Flying. He's the man who makes those minipop picture thingies. He also likes pointless pie charts. Appeals to the geekish weirdo in me.

Encyclopaedia of Decency. Taught me that I'm most likely a useful idiot of a champagne swilling moral relativist who supports fascism and is in denial that terrorists are bad. Marvellous.

XKCD. The geekiest cartoon strip of all time. Dilbert snorks coke off Peppermint Patty's exposed chest compared to this.

Daily WTF. More geekiness believe it or not, but if you've worked in an office or tried to get something done in business there's stuff that will appeal, just ignore the code samples.

Daily Dose of Imagery. The chap who got me into photography.

I reckon we?ll be just what the world has been waiting for. Past their prime rockers, disillusioned with their boring public sector jobs and grappling like with life?s big issues like London property prices and where beer bellies really come from.

    • Niko was recommended to me through a group chat for my road, where everybody raves about him. I soon realised why as he did an amazing job installing an outdoor tap for me. I needed it done quickly but had a hectic schedule, and Niko did everything possible to accommodate this, bringing the parts and working late on a Friday, having worked out the best solution for my maze of pipes. The tap looks great and works amazingly with good pressure. He made minimal mess and cleaned everything up, and charged me a very competitive price. On top of that he is delightful to chat to and willing to give advice on other matters. He’s a lovely man and will be my go-to for any issues in the future! Recommend to anybody in the Dulwich/ Peckham/Camberwell area!!
    • We've used Aria a couple of times - this time a tap that was causing water hammer elsewhere in the house, he replaced it and checked all was well. He was prompt, quick in his work, and charged what he said he would. Will use him again.
    • Hi I found a phone on the pavement near the bus stop half way up lordship lane opposite M&S and have handed into one of the estate agents there (KFH). Please call in there if you have lost it.
