Annasfield
Thanks for the offer giggirl, don't fancy such a large venue though. Had tickets to see Mr Ashcroft at the Electric Ballroom, but ended up going on holiday and had to sell them to a friend. He took great delight in telling me what a good gig it was topped off by the fact that he spent most of the night stood next to the Gallaghers. LuvPeckham
Hi GigGirlCan you explain something to me (and the rest of ED) that is confusing to say the leastTicket Price of ?32.50Booking Fee of ?3.25 per ticketTransaction fee of ?2.00 per orderWhat is the transaction fee, isn't this what (in the old days) was part of the booking fee ?Who gets the booking fee and the transaction fee (surely not the venue/artist) ?Why does it cost ?3.25 to book a ticket over the internet and if you book multiple tickets it still works out at ?3.25 even though there is still the same amount of processing for 1 ticket as there is for 10 ? I would really love to know the answers to these questions as it seems that there is no explination (from anyone) what all the seperate fees mean !!(PS Not having a go at you or the system - I just would like to understand it!!) mockney piers
I noticed that to get my air france e-ticket mailed as a paper one to my house involved a ?40 surcharge!!!!!Incidentally this just reminded me of this company CD Baby who put a little note in each delivery talking about how each parcel is individually perfumed and wrapped by faeries who fly the CD from the staorage to the envelope on silver threaded cushions etc etc. A nice touch and fantastically weird music. Jah Lush
Oh dear, solo career flops, better get the band back together, seems to be a recurring theme in the musicbiz doesn't it.I quite liked the Verve when they came out and caught them on a pretty good night at the Brixton Academy in the early 90s when the were support act but once Dickie Ashcroft's ego started to inflate into disproportionate levels to his meagre talent and he started making crap solo albums to satisfy his increasing megolomania I very soon lost any interest I had. Keef
Think I made my feelings on The Verve clear on this thread. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1603-the-verve-o2/#findComment-44436 Share on other sites
Jah Lush
LOL>:D<...loud and clear Keef.Another thing is that The Drugs Don't Work was played at a friend's funeral soon after it came out, as if that wasn't depressing enough. I still can't bare to listen to the damned thing whenever comes into earshot and I have to leave the room. It's such a dreadfully dull dirge.
