irishnkiwifamily: my daughter has had more than 12 courses of antibiotics over an 18 month period for a chronic ear infection. I am not happy about it as the antibiotics have not been successful in clearing the infection but I respect that the doctors know more than me. She also has a perforation in one ear and we have been referred to the ENT clinic at Lewisham Hospital where they have been dealing it for the last year.

One thing I have noticed that has helped is taking her off cow's milk. I was reluctant to do this but a nutritionist friend suggested I try goat's milk instead. She hasn't noticed the switch and has goats milk in her porridge and to drink in a cup daily and the infection has cleared. We put her back on cow's milk and the infection came back. We returned to goat's milk and the infection has cleared again. It could be a coincidence but it worked for me? Maybe worth a try if your child is experiencing something similar?

    • ...and so, 4 years on from the "dramatic planning meeting" that approved the "meganursery", how has it all worked out in reality? The building looks nice from the outside - but I don't know anything more. Did either of the nursery businesses on EDG fail because there was no demand for nursery places in East Dulwich? Did Carmageddon on East Dulwich Grove get worse? Were pre-COVID work patterns abandoned forever (lol)? Were some of the concerns expressed in opposition to the planning application a teensy bit overblown...? https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/southwark/mega-nursery-approved-amid-dramatic-planning-meeting/
    • If I don’t feed the birds, they’ve actually come and perched on the fence and stared directly at me through the window. The squirrels do that too.
    • Reading The words 'Artisan'  and 'Curated' when refering to my 'Breakfast Bundle' frankly make me feel a bit..🤢
    • I would recommend Coopers bakehouse, which offer a similar service to B&C but it’s just focussed on really good bread, decent prices and keeps for ages (also freezes well).  Delivered by bike.
