Local supermarket with change machine?

Hiya, does anyone know of a place locally where one can change a heap of coins?

Do you mean you want a machine to sort out your coins for you and give you notes in exchange?

Or Sainsburys have a machine that will sort and count coins, spit you back the amount in notes.. and take 7% commission.

If you've got a digital kitchen scale you can weigh coins to count them, and then bag them up for the bank.

Doesn't take long that way.

you can only deposit 3 bags at a time in the bank now and it has to go into an account. Sainsburys is your best bet, chuck all your coinage in, it sorts and sifts each different coin and gives you a voucher that you exchange at customer service desk for hard cash.

Not sure about Sainbury's self-service tills, but Morrisons in Peckham and some of the nicer Tescos have the self service machines with the coin bucket, into which you can just pour your coins, rather than feeding them into a slot. just take a bag out with you each day, and tip them in.

If you really want the cash though, take it to your own bank and rather than asking them to change it, just pay it into your account. In theory, they should have to accept that, right?

When did the banks limit the number of bags you can deposit BR? I have a stack of sorted bags I was going to deposit in my kids account. I've done it plenty of times before with 15-20 bags.

They changed it a couple of years ago, I took 5 bags of pennies in and they ummmed and arred for 10 mins cos I had TWO extra bags ! YCMIU. I think they said childrens accounts are different and you can pay more in

I dont have any problem with my bank HSBC they change up my coins ok.
