I wouldn't worry too much about Chief, Otta - I've not been on this forum long but already I've seen him telling people visiting the district that they are to get the bus and not park on "our" roads, telling people who wanted to have a family celebration in a pub that they shouldn't be taking their children to the pub, telling people who wanted to watch rugby world cup matches that they should go and watch in Putney, telling people who use laptops in cafes that "we" don't want them here...he's basically, as you say, a sad rude little person who gets some sort of affirmation from the number of people he manages to annoy.

The friendlies are super friendly and the bar less crowded usually. Here's to July.

(tu) Definitely well deserved. Thanks for letting us know.

The pub is not quiet the same since you've been gone. Looking forward to you coming back.

Just thought this might interest some of you...

We've just bought a TV for the garden for you to watch all your favourite sporting events. Starting with Euro 16 football. We also have TVs in the bar area if it rains.

Serving fresh seasonal food, local ales and craft beer.

Also weekend brunch from 10am

Will it be England's year?

They can have the tennis on though rendel, eh no.

I'll be over for Wimbers if that's the case...

I dare say a summer international football tournament will bring in a lot more drinkers than a quiet oasis.

Although I can see your point.

    • Two wrongs don't make a right. Labour ran on a manifesto of "we aren't like them" and "we are different" and"you can trust us/we will restore faith in politics". They are doing nothing to convince anyone that any of those promises are being met - they are letting everyone down. u-turning on everything and are fast-tracking the doomsday scenario of a Reform government. Even the runway on the "it's all the Tories fault" is running out. I dislike politicians because they cannot be trusted and Rayner just highlighted that with ribbons on. She should have been so careful after the focus on the electoral roll issues she had with the house in Ashton-under-Lyne and then under a year later this comes up. Clearly the advice she took included a recommendation to take proper advice that she failed to do - that's just daft and the most galling thing is that she didn't just resign when this came up - she tried to spin out of it but must have known she was toast. Trust is fast being eroded. I desperately want Labour and Starmer to fix this because the alternative it too scary to think about but the way things are going they are fast-tracking Farage into No.10. Labour are letting us all down.
    • Same can be said for the current and prior governments
    • Good afternoon, We are looking for a gardener to tidy up our climbing rose. It is very high, so the work will require someone with a tall ladder. can you please recommend anyone?  thanks s
    • So you are also old enough to remember the Heath Out protest by the TUC when unemployment hit 1 million? We all have selective memories, this thread is no different. Please give me a list of the Labour sleaze. And compare it to the Tories.  There are a few of you who appear to have a long term dislike of Labour, so all this is a gift.
