Waffo
Went to Lucas this morning with my brother and parents (6 of us in total). Complete disaster. Main problems were as followsBrother wanted three fried eggs, they would only do 2 or 4Cup of tea arrived and waitress tipped it over my brother with no apology, glad it missed the 8 month old baby.Part of the order was wrong, again no apology. Hash browns were frozen in the middle, not cold, literally ice. Owner very nonchalant about it. We sent this meal back - it had already come out wrong twice.Avocado in 3 of the meals was under ripe and rock solid. Not eaten and sent back. When my husband said to the owner at the end ?this has been a bit of a disaster today hasn?t it?? His reply was ?these things happen?. No apology.Completely understand that new business have teething issues but this was pretty diabolical. Try spinach, blue brick or one of the other fantastic breakfast offerings we have in East Dulwich. Sue
Oh dear, that's a shame, I was looking forward to trying it :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/170453-lucas/#findComment-1184757 Share on other sites
monica
Probably teething issues, I spoke with the owner before they opened up, and he was very polite. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/170453-lucas/#findComment-1184961 Share on other sites
Huggers
Is this the north ross road one? Had a delicious salsa type veggie thing and then a lovely raspberry and lemon cake. Ice. effy
went in once to try them with my friend. We both have a dog. They say they would only allow one dog and the other one not... ??? we just left disappointed! I understand if policy is 'no dogs allowed' but one dog at a time? Louisa
I don?t understand why people around here bother with pretentious wannabe places? Why not go to a proper greasy spoon and have a decent breakfast for half the price? Or is that beneath you? Louisa. mrure26
What the heck is it to you where folks eat? I am not a particularly fussy person but if by a 'decent breakfast' you mean full English or along those lines, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Louisa
?Wouldn?t touch it with a barge pole? - is that because you genuinely dislike greasy spoons, or because you don?t like being seen in a working class establishment? mrure26
I don't like full English breakfasts and would not touch them with a barge pole, do keep up. You got a working class chip on your shoulder? I certainly don't. You tell me it?s none of my business, then go on to criticise me for being a fan of a full English breakfast. Double standards much. Louisa. edcam
Louisa is just being a dick as usual in order to wind people up. I love a full English in a greasy spoon, also love a foofy breakfast cooked well. The two things are not mutually exclusive. Sue
About time you started another thread in the lounge to divert admin's attention from your games on here, isn't it Louisa?"Pretentious wannabe places"? "Working class establishments"?FFS.You seem to hate this area and anybody who tries to start a new business in it so much, I genuinely cannot understand why you continue to use this forum except, as pointed out above, to wind people up.You make the same offensive points over and over then play the victim. It would be mildly amusing if it wasn't so nasty.ETA: Another potentially useful thread derailed. DulwichFox
Louisa is merely expressing her opinion on a new business. It is not Lou that has derailed this thread. It is those who have a personal grudge on lou. that persistently 'but it' without giving any positive content to the thread. Other people have expressed their disapproval of Lucas's without being persecuted. Stop all the personal stuff. If you think you are being wound-up, then don't bite. Louisa
Sue please do not accuse me of being negative when this whole entire thread is about a negative review, or did you fail to notice than? Sue can you please stop with all this. Once again you directly pick on me for having any sort of opinion about anything. This conversation was between me and another person, so as Foxy politely says, why not stay clear of my conversation if it offends you so much? Nothing stopping you making a valid contribution to this thread if you have one, is there? Louisa.
