Good pubs in Forest Hill?

Is the Dartmouth Arms there and is it nice? Any other recommendations gratefully received

It's good for food, but a bit soulless. Hob is good, and has comedy and live music. Or Forest Hill Hotel, which is off the main drag.

The Blythe Hill Tavern on far end of Stanstead Road is a cracking old-school boozer

Dartmouth Arms - I'm with Otta.

Bar Question - haven't been for a while but a good spot for some pizza and beer before a gig at the Hob

Hob - probably where I go most, but the bar downstairs on a quiet night can be a bit of a downer

Is the Bird In Hand still there on Dartmouth Road? Not been in there for at least a decade. The Bonzos used to play there when they first started out. Admittedly before my time though.

The Dartmouth is godawful, The Hob is nice and Monica's lovely, The Capitol is cheap and you might meet BBW.

Good food and not bad beer in the Dartmouth - very nice for a Sunday Lunch. Capitol a typical Weatherspoons so cheap and cheerful (if nothing else)

Another thumbs up for the Hob from me as well. All round a nice place!
