Another recommendation from me. Hussein and his team have just finished redecorating 3 floors of stairs and landings as well as touching up a few other rooms at our flat. I can?t recommend their work enough, a top job done with great attention to detail. Hussein is a pleasure to work with and we are already lining up more work for him to complete in the coming weeks.

Another recommendation for Hussein - a prompt and competitive quote to redecorate 2 bedrooms in Peckham. Very straightforward to deal with over the phone. Helpful and offered to get a paint match. Would definitely use again. Thanks so much Hussein!

We've just had our entire house painted by Hussein (ceiling, walls, all woodwork) and we're really happy with the work! Hussain and his team are reliable, easy to have in the house, and checked every detail with us (including giving helpful advise where decisions needed to be made). The quote was very reasonable given the amount of work and included all paint, and touch ups were done at the end to ensure everything was perfect. Would recommend working with Hussein: Hanoushka Decoration and Design (07789 551 994)

Another wholehearted recommendation for Hussein, who recently redecorated 2 rooms for us + some touching up in another room. Prompt quote, reasonable price, high quality job (including a lot of filling etc.) and just a lovely guy. Will definitely use again and totally recommend.

Bump for Hussein who knows his stuff. They did a proper job with filling and prepping surfaces and the place looks great. They were half the cost of the highest quote I received, and so I didn't mind finessing fine details after they left (i.e. chipping tiny bits of paint off radiators and light fixtures). I am happy with my value for money and the final product. They decorated all surfaces of a 2-bed 800sqft flat including woodwork.

Hussein and his team completed the interior painting of our entire house after an extensive refurbishment. Really happy with the results and would recommend him to anyone looking for a local painter and decorator. We will definitely use https://www.hanoushka.com/ again.

Hussein and his colleague have recently finished decorating our hall, stairs and landing and we?re so pleased with the finish, it looks great. The best thing though was how easy he was to work with, really responsive and punctual which is unfortunately so rare. Also, price was either same or slightly cheaper than a few quotes we received. Oh and they even fed the cat whilst we were away! I will definitely be using him again for any future decorating jobs.

Hussein and his team came round and painted my flat including ceilings & repairing damage caused by damp. They also did some outside painting and the whole of the shared hallway. They were super fast and very trustworthy - I gave them my keys and went away for the week!! He kept me updated on the progress and suggested a colour for the front door which I very much appreciated.

There were a few slight issues which I asked him to come back and fix - he was extremely amenable to doing so, and came round and cheerfully sorted out the problems. I haven?t got much left to paint now but would use them again.

I agree with Charlie15. Hussein decorated our living room earlier this year and did a great job. He has just finished painting our front door and some outside plastering and again did a brilliant job.

Friendly and reliable and definitely recommend.

Another recommendation for Hussein of Hanoushka Decoration and Design (https://www.hanoushka.com/)and his team. Really lovely to communicate with, always responsive and willing to help as much as possible. We had our bedrooms repainted, including walls, ceilings and woodwork and they were able to add some anti-condensation mix to the paint to help mitigate our mould problem. They were quicker even than planned, a pleasant surprise and a seamless process from start to finish. Would definitely look to use them again in the future and recommend to friends / family.

Hussein from Hanoushka Decoration and Design and his team were absolutely brilliant. The work was completed quickly, efficiently and to a great standard. I have multiple properties in East Dulwich that Hussein has worked on, always professional and work is priced at a very competitive and reasonable rate. Highly recommend!

Hello Hussein

Can you estimate for some painting on our front porch in Wood Vale SE23 - door, walls, footstep etc. Plus similar - but much less painting on the front bay window, window sill etc? Then some interior biits - two doors....!

It looks as though you may have a waiting list given the EDF accolades. We are in no great hurry but as soon as ever would be good.

Thanks/regards

Richard

Two thumbs up for Hussein from Al-Hanoushka Decorating, we are really pleased with the job done painting our 3 bed maisonette flat in Honor Oak Park. Four rooms and hall, two stairways and landings walls and ceilings. It was a big job and it was done professionally and quickly allowing us to move in when we wanted. The lines are neat and the coats are uniform. Hussein gave us a great quote after we were recommended him by our friends who had their house painted in Queens Road Peckham, and he communicated well and did the work when he said he would and cleaned up after himself. Highly recommended.

    • Honestly, the squirrels are not a problem now.  They only eat what has dropped.  The feeders I have are squirrel proof anyway from pre-cage times.  I have never seen rats in the garden, and even when I didn't have the cage.  I most certainly would have noticed them.  I do have a little family of mice which I have zero problem about.  If they stay outside, that's fine with me.  Plus, local cats keep that population down.  There are rats everywhere in London, there is plenty of food rubbish out in the street to keep them happy.  So, I guess you could fit extra bars to the cage if you wanted to, but then you run the risk of the birds not getting in.  They like to be able to fly in and out easily, which they do.
    • Ahh, the old "it's only three days" chestnut.  I do hope you realise the big metal walls, stages, tents, toilets, lighting, sound equipment, refreshments, concessions etc don't just magically appear & disappear overnight? You know it all has to be transported in & erected, constructed? And that when stuff is constructed, like on a construction site, it's quite noisy & distracting? Banging, crashing, shouting, heavy plant moving around - beep beep beep reversing signals, engines revving - pneumatic tools? For 8 to 10 hours a day, every day? And that it tends to go on for two or three weeks before an event, and a week after when they take it all down again? I'm sure my boys' GCSE prep won't be affected by any of that, especially if we close the windows (before someone suggests that as a resolution). I'm sure it won't affect anyone at the Harris schools either, actually taking their exams with that background noise.
    • Thanks for the good discussion, this should be re-titled as a general thread about feeding the birds. @Penguin not really sure why you posted, most are aware that virtually all land in this country is managed, and has been for 100s of years, but there are many organisations, local and national government, that manage large areas of land that create appropriate habitats for British nature, including rewilding and reintroductions.  We can all do our bit even if this is not cutting your lawn, and certainly by not concreting over it.  (or plastic grass, urgh).   I have simply been stating that garden birds are semi domesticated, as perhaps the deer herds in Richmond Park, New Forest ponies, and even some foxes where we feed them.  Whoever it was who tried to get a cheap jibe in about Southwark and the Gala festival.  Why?  There is a whole thread on Gala for you to moan on.  Lots going on in Southwark https://www.southwark.gov.uk/culture-and-sport/parks-and-open-spaces/ecology-and-wildlife I've talked about green sqwaky things before, if it was legal I'd happily use an air riffle, and I don't eat meat.  And grey squirrels too where I am encourage to dispatch them. Once a small group of starlings also got into the garden I constructed my own cage using starling proof netting, it worked for a year although I had to make a gap for the great spotted woodpecker to get in.  The squirrels got at it in the summer but sqwaky things still haven't come back, starlings recently returned.  I have a large batch of rubbish suet pellets so will let them eat them before reordering and replacing the netting. Didn't find an appropriately sized cage, the gaps in the mesh have to be large enough for finches etc, and the commercial ones were £££ The issue with bird feeders isn't just dirty ones, and I try to keep mine clean, but that sick birds congregate in close proximity with healthy birds.  The cataclysmic obliteration of the greenfinch population was mainly due to dirty feeders and birds feeding close to each other.
    • Another recommendation for Niko - fitted me in the next day, simple fix rather than trying to upsell and a nice guy as well. Will use again
