Hey all! I?ve been stricken with the flu for the last 3 days and thinking that I shouldn?t go out and get all silly bugger drunk, like at the last forum drinks. (which were a blast by the way!)

Although I have been indoors pretty much all the time for the last 3 days and cabin fever is starting to set in so a little stroll down to the FHT may be therapeutic.

And perhaps just a small, medicinal beer to stave off the winter cold?.

Why don't you just come as a normal, non snorky punter and just approach people saying 'what's going on here?' 'oh a meeting of internet geeks? interesting', whilst calling yourself albert and affecting a dodgy english accent? Perhaps a stoke one, so noone will be the wiser.

Just for curiosity's sake you understand.

A great choice Sean! Luckily for Brendan it doesnt taste like medecine anymore since they changed to the recipe a few years back to make it more palatable to the Yanks.

But gents, if you like them peaty may I recommend to you gents the fine Ardbeg which even at 10 years old is a beast of a dram. Palmerston do it and I think Inside 72 had it once too. The BEAST ...an awesome malt.

Ardbeg is very good. The most peaty malt I've had was at a Bruichladdich tasting where they had one at something like 300 ppm. It took your head right off! I don't think they ever released it for sale, they were just trying it out. You either loved it or hated it.

The numbers for the curry have depleted. I was going to have a mate with me but he has dropped out and Mr Onion cant make it. So by my reckoning that is 3 of us - Sean, Lady Gooner et moi. So - do we still want to do it?

The FHT re laying on nibbles and we can always organise a separate visit when more people can make it.

What do you think?

you know that feeling when you have lined up a curry and have been looking forward to it for a while? Nothing else will quite do.... bah humbug!

Probably makes sense to avail of the free food next door tho' so...if you both want to go for a curry still I'll come along but if ye fancy rain-checking that's cool too
