We have very limited space [no bedroom space left] and with a second child coming along we need to reorganise our sitting room. Anyone any good storage solutions to tidy away kids' and baby stuff in a sitting room? Anyone know of any changing tables that don't look like changing tables that would look like a small dining table/drawers etc or large cupboards or drawers that would help our sitting room look more adult by storing away the toys/nappies/baby clothes etc at the end of the day? Thanks for any ideas in advance!
Our changing table is an old wooden dresser from habitat. Lots of storage inside and we have a changing mat on the top which can be stored down the side if you want it out of view. We then have a shelf above with nappies etc on which you could hide in lidless boxes. So is a normal looking bit of furniture rather than looking like baby stuff

congrats on number 2! :)

i second ikea expedit units, you can buy as big or as small you need and add more, and they look ok in any room really.

we use our coffee table to storage toys in the lounge - in three boxes under the table. my son takes almost every single car out of the boxes every morning, and I put them back in the box and under the coffee table every single evening, but the room looks tidy when the kids are in bed.

to be honest you might not even need a changing table - i have never used it with baby no2 , just change her on the floor/our bed etc.

good luck with everything xxx

    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
    • Yes, but I want to know where he stands on all this stuff now. My feeling is it won't be any different from Labour?
